I rewatched most of Cowboy Bebop over the past few days. Discs 3,4,5,6.

and wow, it is great. I do not have much experience with serialized narrative like this, but Cowboy Bebop and Deadwood have got to be some of the best series out there. Only fault I have with Cowboy Bebop is that the whole idealistic, tough living, loner badass is almost a cheap shot in terms of drawing in an audience.

I am reminded of many friends and acquaintances who write off all anime as bad or even just as a novelty in reaction to so many anime nerd otaku types who- with the same generalizing taste as those who dislike all anime- love all japanese animation. Too bad they are missing out, though I can't really blame either party.
