Saw the first Michael Mann film this morning. It seems far more stylized (art direction) than his later films but already in this film you can see his trademarks emerging.

This is definitely the most fucked up film I have ever seen. It would be distressing enough as fiction, except that it is a disturbingly factually accurate dramatisation of a series of killings that I can remember reading about as a teenager.

So cool that more and more people have seen nokas. I actually live in the city where the actual event happened. This is the actuall guy behind the robbery. He was also involved in stealing the famous Scream and Madonna paintings by Edvard Munch.

Nokas felt pretty realisti, espevially after seeing some of the real footage at the end. The overall confusion was great.

Been going through them all for nearly a year. At season 5 right after Joel left.

Also, going back trough all the Trailer Park Boys episodes with a buddy because he hasn't seen them.

I love this movie. The cast, sound, pace, delivery, imagery, and nearly everything about this movie has me completely engaged, causing me to truly care about the story and the characters. The tension in the story is incredible which helps to establish the importance of their mission, I'm just disappointed at how it leads up to it's ending....
