Real McCoy's / Joe McCoy's Jeans

The 991XH are cut from the heavier ounce fabric that the Real McCoys have used several times on previous models, but a first for the 991 cut. The fabric is different from the regular 991s, in that they are 14.75oz. selvedge denim.

I normally wear a size 32 or even 33 in One Wash models, but these running larger than tagged and given that I purchased the raw version, I picked them up in a size 30 for a great fit.

Just like shinobi2000 said, "not too tight but snug", they are slim but not too slim and slightly tapered but nothing drastic.

Just received it two days ago from big. To those who are curious about the lot 002 and XH fabric..

The Real McCoy's Lot.002

Just like we all know, mccoy is definitely one of few specialist in making repo items. Be it military repo, workwear, sportswear, or any other vintage inspired items. Based on a trustworthy source, the rmc lot 002 use the 1950s straight cut in a slight slimmer version. The weight itself is 14 3/4oz, which is I think it's best for our climate.

When I first opened the package, the smell was the first thing that caught my attention. Believe it or not, the McCoy Original XH denim smells and feels different than any other denim. On top of that, the construction of the denim is totally something you will love it. They really pay attention to details. Lots of curve, cut threads, basically imperfections. They want us to feel like how it was to be in the past. You might find these exaggerating, but I'm telling you the truth! Lets cut the talking and it's time for some pictures!!

5 dirty buttons that seem to have already oxidized with the engraved mccoy label. It's a plus point for me tho..

hair on hide patch. Awesome, really. the best part is they even put an effort to make the shadow as for the logo to not look so plain.

the 003 is described as a WWII cut but the 004 has the WWII details (from what I see: no rivets on coin pocket and donut buttons)...strange...

Very well spotted there Mr. FrEaK, You are indeed correct. The McCoys YearBook has the images the wrong way around, Shhhhh! dont tell anybody! us westerners will never know the differance.

Lot.003 should be the image with donut buttons and without coin pocket rivet. Lot.004 has the coin pocket rivet.
