superliving: your room / closet / house / apartment

Lot's of great apartments but I need some ideas for house setups, as I'm helping my parents refurnish the house. If you got a house or if you live with the parents, i wanna see those living rooms!

This is the only photo I've got now of my parents' living room. Not terribly useful, is it....

edit: sorry, something was weird, picture wasn't showing....

here's my place. it's teeny tiny, less than 500 sq. ft. for 2 people, but we make it work just fine. it's a bit more homey than a lot of others here, while i love modern aesthetics i don't really like decorating with them

walking in the place, living room and kitchen. theres no overhead lighting so we use christmas lights for softer, more relaxing light. we keep bottles that visitors finish while they're here, a decent collection for a little over a year.

living room from the kitchen (thats our front door)

walking into my room:

from sitting on my bed, my desk and stuff. printer and scanner are under the desk, that's where i make wallets and everything:

i think since my room is so small (9x9ft) it looks very cluttered, but it's pretty neat and tidy. oh, i have a pretty big closet that is the door on the right as you walk into my room, so thats where all my clothing is

its like you purposely made your home look like crap.

i don't think it looks like crap. i think it's filled with things we've made, found, use and love. I think I enjoy living around things that remind me of the people I can't see every day, and of all the wonderful memories I have. I think it looks like it's lived in and used and cared for...but not babied (it is a rental after all).

crap...not so much. what does your place look like?

i think the lighting and bottes look good

slightly more cluttered than i would have but its hard in a small place (tell me about it)

if it was my place i would get a tone on tone white thing going on margiela esq

take labels and caps off the bottles wash them out

paint some stuff off white, furniture ect maybe not have soo much stuff about or open to view, it would make the place seem bigger

but each to their own if you like it and reflects you as a person its cool

While we're in this thread, does anyone know where I can buy lightbulbs that are bright fucking white. I'm tired of my room looking all yellowish, its horrible especially for picture taking. I usually have to go outside and take pictures of things I need to sell outside, which means I can only take pictures during the day (if its sunny). Anyone know what kind of lightbulbs look as close to sun light as possible?

I live in Gastown in Vancouver. The building I'm in is a warehouse conversion that's originally a hundred years old.

Gastown's an interesting place to live though. IE, Stussy and Goodfoot are all less than a block away from me, plus it's always entertaining to have the meth'd up crazies yelling as they drag their shopping carts down the street at 4 in the morning.
