could go to a size 28 but I want the threads to have some slack

Then I tapered the legs to skull measurements and they look awessssome

But its funny. The fit isn't tapered really now. It's more like a skinny straight leg. Knee and hem measurement is the same -- like skull 5010xx

Just bought a pair of XX from BiG. Stock seems to be running low there so just a heads up all those interested in buying before they run out.

Japan seems to be almost completey tapped out. Even yahoo auctions has almost nothing listed for XX and 66XXcuts, although there is a listing for a Tokyo model in size 33 with a 30" inseam.

The old Denime is passing into history. Kinda sad.

A pair of NOS (new, old stock) 66XX size 32 went for 42,000 yen on yahoo auctions last week. so popular sizes can definitely now demand a premium.....80,000 yen is a bit rich alright, tho'.

Buying from BiG is a very attractive proposition right now too. His prices for the XX and 66XX translate to about 26,000 Yen at todays exchange rate.

Those aren't recent jeans. Denime was recently being produced by some company called SHINS. Those are old, old Denime, back when they were produced by Orrizonti, which I think was about 10 years ago or so.....At least I think that's what's up. I bought a couple pair of old Denime from Naoki at Pants Shop Avenue a few months back after Hayashi got out of Denime and paid normal retail and they were 38w, which are even rarer.

That makes sense.Word is they were at their peak when Orrizonti was the owner of Denime. Apparently production was being done for them by Kapital.....which adds Kapital to my denim wishlist.

Yep, the uber expensive one is one of the first 66xx Denime ever produced, not a recent Shins Co. product.

I don't think so. I've seen the new 66 and the XX in person and they don't have a donut button.

Just received my Denime XX in the mail today from BIG. One thing sticks out though, the tab on the left front pocket is missing, which is minor thing. I just wanted to know if this is normal? Either way about to do the soak.

which tab on the front pocket? do you mean the sticker?

edit: ahh I see. BIG had a special tab on the right front pocket. that's really minor. Although you could have used it to sew it on the backpocket

No, I checked, even though it is a trivial matter, the consumer in me wants the tab! lol. What are ya gonna do, ya know. I do know they where the only ones in stock in my size. Has this happened to anyone else?
