Sarah bought a sweet-ass running machine a while ago, her balance has been a bit off since her last blast of radiosurgery, she's stubbled a few times around the park so she thought it would be safer on carpet till she's fully recovered.. it's dope, it's got bluetooth/speakers so i'm blasting tunes out and pounding a few miles.. i bought some Waffles for that 70's runner charm, just need sweatbands, a long vest, short nylon shorts and knee high socks to complete the look.

Did the originals also have exposed foam tongues like this pair? Were they a thing in the 70s/80s?

These are the Waffles II so slightly different pattern to the og 70's version but the tongue is exactly the same with the exposed foam.

I sold them to this dude in Orange County (he used to buy quite a few pairs of J's from me) a few days after he received them he had heart failure, he was only a young dude, it was serious shit, he mailed me from his hospital bed and never bought another pair.. i hope he's ok!

Yeah, my old sneaker/clothing storage room became my kids bedroom so a big chunk of my collection got sold off when he was a baby.

Folks have garages here too but they're often attached to houses built post-war, my last house was c1600's and our current house is Victorian so they're from a pre-car age.

..plus, garages here in the UK often get damp, so over time your sneaker/trainers collection would become a load of soggy boxes with mouldy sport shoes inside. 

Ours is relatively modern compared to 00's, built in the mid 50's. But with concrete walls and an asbestos corrugated roof, nothing will stay mould free for long
