Being sick at home gave me the opportunity to wash both my jacket and jeans. Whereas it certainly did good things to the jeans, I ended up getting some profound washing marks on the jacket. I'm pretty sure they won't fully wear out, but I can arrange with it.

Rare fit from my japan trip of my IH666 21/23 UHR. Been putting this pair on in between some wears of the denime world tour i'm doing. the thickness of this pair i have to say, is great for weather in hokkaido where for 5 days, i've not seen anything above -3C

Here's an update on my Railcar x021s. 9 washes to date. Visually they haven't evolved much in the last month or two, and so it feels like they've reached a bit of a plateau. However, some minor crotch maintenance has been needed, and I'll probably send them to Railcar to get the cuffs reinforced in the next month. I still wish the back rise were a bit higher, and the roping isn't what I'd hoped it would be.

 

 

 

Compared to the Wrangler-esque "blueberry" hues of the first few pics, this last one is pretty accurate in terms color and texture:

Long time no update on my end.

My OA02XX's have been worn a little less frequently due to them needing repairs, but I'm sticking with them!

When taking these photos I just realized that the knee is getting pretty thin, might be the next thing to go.

I'm going to wear them for a little while longer, give them a wash and send them to Tyler and Rain at Indigo Proof to work their magic.

Warehouse 1001, 200 days of wear (click on picture for best resolution).  This is after their sixth wash (counting the two initial washes).  Going to cut back to 4 to 5 days of wear a week for the rest of the contest, and wash every three months.  Want something still wearable 15 months from now.

This is Olive, she's my girlfriend's dog. She's about two now, one of my girlfriend's friends found her in a field one winter and after no one claimed her my girlfriend decided to take her in. She's a great little puppy, I watch her whenever I'm off work.

We just went for a walk on a January day that really feels like spring!

She's a goofball and loves rolling in the dirt sometimes:

I've yet to see a pair of UHR that really comes close to the old SR denim. I think it lacks the nice marbling.

One of my favorite pairs in this contest.  Is anyone else on a schedule/goal and starting to cut back a little bit on their wear?  I'm shooting for finishing somewhere between 470 and 500 wears.

Funny, I just calculated how many wears I got in my WH yesterday. I came up with 6 months so far (April-June, November-January). As I plan on wearing the Resolute in summer I'll most likely end up with something around 12-13 months. So far I still got fetching up to do before I cut back.

I'd say I get about 20 wears per month and have kept that steady since the beginning of the contest. 30 amnesty wear beforehand puts me at about 200-210 wears so far. I'm lucky enough to wear them to work (teaching at a university). If stay presentable until the term ends at the beginning of June, then I can keep wearing them just as often right through the summer. Come September they'll probably not be so classroom-worthy, which will drop wears down to about 3-4 days a week.

 

So, I can probably get into the low end of that 470-500 range setterman has targeted. But then again, the jeans will probably have more say over that than I do.

I will continue to wear both my pairs for as long as possible. I got no plans of buying another pair until the contest is over.

Hard to say where I will end up though.

I got 210 days now on my IH666SII and 95 on my IH666UHR.

I really would like atleast 424 days with my 666SII. So that I can compare them with my 666S that are stuck there.

Time will tell.

i just started a new job for the next 8 weeks and the flat heads are going to be placed on the back burner until fridays/weekends until i feel comfortable enough to pull them off at this job (its with an aussie fashion company). Currently wearing the denim samurai 710xx every day until that happens (I'm working along side the CEO/CFO/Brand Directors so faded jeans might be a no-no...).

 

I also still feel too fat for the flat heads...
