ooe yofukuten & co. denim contest

not a contest pair, but BLUE GEAR has been breaking in some 91 denim Ooe's as well..He started at about the same time as us and it's worth noting that these also tend to be his goto jeans that he finds most comfortable for the fabric and the fit....

As promised here is the first of many parts of photos from my very recent trip to Japan.

Got knee level flood soak with my Ooe going home to get stuff ready for the trip, the above photograph is on my way to the airport, its a pretty crazy day then.

Great stuff. I'm half-Japanese but have actually never been to Japan, pictures like that (especially ones with food) make me want to drop everything and get on the next flight.

^ridiculous food pic...i've honestly never had a bad meal in japan, even in random alleyways or train stations, everything is next level amazing! a testament to how the pursuit of perfection encompasses even such things as "jeans" that people have taken for granted in place of convenience and mass production...

After the flea market, we go straight back to downtown Kyoto to have a small walkaround...

Very unassuming shops, alot of people on the 2nd floor but nobody outside.

Serving some of the best ice cream around (found it via kyotofoodie)

jeezus, that in-flight food is better looking than anything in my entire city! awesome JP pics, also. i visited kyoto and kanagawa prefecture about 11 years ago - before i was into JP denim. NEED to return soon! great thread.

was a busy last week or so with family in town...which of course means more eating (sorry no denim pics in this post!)

birchwood again:

then went to wasabi, honestly the best ramen in chicago and one of the few really good ones i've had in the US in general...somehow it just isnt the same as in japan but maybe i'm just picky haha

had to get my karaoke time in with the family

and the next morning went to Little Goat for lunch...

some aged syrup (do i taste chinese 5 spice in there?)

and the main diner (they have a coffee, bread, and bar as well)

and my scallion pancake dish...

food was delicious but it wouldn't be fair to give them a full review as they were open for only a day or so when I went...still a few kinks to work out and i'm sure they'll get everything down with time!

Man the food in this thread is out of control!

4 months, 4 washes.

Belt loop is starting to get pretty roughed up because of my key hook, can't quite see all the stitching coming apart here though.

And from a trip to re-up on pet food... this is some bad/hilarious packaging design, especially when it's lined up next to the others.
