So which size charts should I use for:

http://www.buzzricksons.com/product_info.php?products_id=85{6}28

BR site:

http://www.buzzricksons.com/size_charts.php

or SE:

http://www.selfedge.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=78&products_id=491

Looking at a large (going off SE website), but BR site recommends an XL. Which would be too large if its the SE measurements... :)

In my experience I would use the SE measurements, The Buzz site is all over the place. Ive had XXL shirts which are supposed to be for a 44 inch chest but are probably for a 48 or even 50! There seems to be little correlation between sizing for different pieces, an XL for one item is nowhere near an XL fpr another. At least SE measure the actual piece.

I'm heading to japan in a few weeks, and was wondering if anyone could tell me the best Buzz store in either tokyo or osaka. I've got a couple, but it's a bit hard to tell (i've got Earthmarket, Vari, Beams and Hinoyoa). I'm looking to get a Buzz peacoat. Thanks

Just a shout out to anybody here looking for a good deal on a jacket from Buzz Rickson..

We've taken 30% off the retail price of the remaining sizes of the William Gibson x Buzz Rickson N-1 Black Deck Jackets and the 1930's FDR Civilian Jackets.

N-1- Deck:

Wanted to reach out to the Buzz Rickson experts..

I'm interested in getting the M-43 Civilian Jacket but not sure about the sizing?

I'm a size 38 in the William Gibson MA-1 (long version) and a size 40R in the Tankers (roomy fit).

Thanks in advance!

I guess its mistranslation. Tom from Toyo speaks a very "particular" English…

Toyo provided US bases in Japan with imported gears, including denim pants and flight jackets.

I guess this is what was meant originally, but dumb guys from Hypebeast did not stand back to think about it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I do not understand why BR would try to make consumers believe they supplied the US Army during WW2.

Toyo's first foray into jeans was in 1965, exactly twenty years AFTER the war ended. Not to mention that was also 30 years before Buzz Rickson was even created.

The "Buzz Rickson" name doesn't even have any relation to any factual events, "Buzz Rickson" was Steve McQueen's name in a film called The War Lover from the early 60's.

I know that but it seems so weird that Buzz Rickson even has even tried to say that they provided the US Army.

Just trying to rationalize, I guess.

Maybe too much.

It's more easier for me to picture Hypebeast misunderstanding what people from Toyo would say actually.

How can people think it's true, seriously ?

Probably 80% do.... can you name 3 A2 supplies during WWII? Unless you're really into it, why would you question it?

The information came from Take5, not Toyo. I found out the Hypebeast writer was told this by Take 5 when the writer went to the shop to ask questions about BR.

Ok my bad, I thought the info came directly from the brand, even though a shop should know the history of the brand they sell, like you Kiya for example.

@Happy Hooligan I'm not saying everyone should have read Full Gear but Hypebeast should have double-checked before writing so.

I'm selling a pair of Buzz Rickson 1942 (size 32) Chinos for 90 bucks. I just tried them on after losing a fair amount of weight, and they're a bit too loose in the waist. They've hardly been worn. PM me!
