Those look really nice. I'm glad I bought a pair of Serra's four years ago when they retailed for $275. Mine still look great. I work in footwear and understand material costs are going up but $500+ is a little crazy but I guess Hiroki has moved onto another level of customer. I bought some Diemme Roccia Vet boots a few weeks ago. For $299 they are on par quality wise with my Visvim's just not as sought after.

Anyone here have the old Visvim 7 holes (the ones that had goretex, moc toes etc) and try to resole them? I have a couple of pairs and they appear to be welted, though not sure if it's functional or a design element.I know they only intended for the folk series to be resoleable but hey, who knows.

I'm nearly certain you can only get them resoled via cement down construction.

I allways feel a slight sense of relief when i see the new season pics and dont like any of the products. Yes the attention to detail is there and the fabrics are beautiful but at the moment it leaves me cold. This feeling is somewhat tempered by the fact that i know there will be lots of things i do love and will have to buy. Allways.

Of the recent scans not feeling any of it except perhaps the grizzly boots. But then again i often find myself disliking the new season scans. My favourite pieces are generally not the flagship pieces but the classics.
