stop talking out of your ass.

you dont need either to shoot fireworks, its more a matter of having a tripod, having a generally wider angle lens, using a long exposure to expose for the whole trail.

umm if i can remember specifics, but i made two layers. one layer i increased the levels and contrast a little bit to make the foreground darker. the other layer, i reduced the background exposure. then did some masking and combined the two.
