Check adorama. They have the cheapest prices on film from what I've seen.

Ebay's good, but like you said, half the time shit's expired. Doesn't always mean it's bad--it all depends on the way it was stored, but you can never be sure it was actually refrigerated/frozen as they claim.

Adorama blows. I get my "proper" films from freestylephoto.biz or B&H.

any recommendations for film? i want to try color slide film as well, so any ideas would be appreciated. i work at photo place so i can get slides sent for processing for fairly cheap, but only kind we have in-store is fujifilm sensia, but i've seen great results with provia..

thanks in advance for any advice

conan-I've not used E-6 much, but I've heard Fuji Velvia is nice for landscapes, though not very good for portraits (beacuse it's not very accurate with skintones). I think Astia is good for portraits...

I have a roll of ektachrome 64 in my camera now--first time using slide film in a while. Not sure when I'll finish it off, but I'll try to remember to post here when I get the results.

dino

you outgrew your xti already?

gimme yo lenses.

nah, not really to be honest. but i have the chance now to get something nice and pricey that i otherwise couldnt really pick up for myself presently (what up graduation) so im basically exploiting that for all its worth naw mean? and also if i do end up switching over to photography for my major itd no doubt be a nice asset to have.

only one of my lenses is ef-s though, and its the same one you got already. sorry homie

If you've got enough, make the leap to the 1.4.

no point putting cheap glass on a such a good body.

you think? i was looking at both of them a bit and didnt see tons of support for the 1.4 over the 1.8, also what i saw/read on the 1.8 looked to be almost all good feedback.

tell me more though if you dont mind. pm if you want, i need a nice prime portrait lens without spending an arm and a leg
