@PrettyBoyTony Here are some janky progress pics on my 0105 super smooth. It was tough to get the true color to come through on the full length pictures - these close up shots did a better job of capturing that. About 6-7 months in with ~5 washes. I'll take some better ones down the line when I get some more wear in. Plenty of texture even with the lighter weight, enjoying them a lot so far.9 points

There were a handful of us who tried to rekindle, but the fire wouldn't catch. Apparently it had just run its course. Double O had been a major contributor, sparking off conversations like he does here. When he departed a large amount of air went out of the balloon, and there was no getting it back. Of course there were other factors, the LeRoy incident being a big one, causing other major contributors to back away. But joking aside, someone should save the photos from the How It's Worn (or whatever they called it over there) thread. There were some seriously stylish and photogenic folks posting regularly. Would make a nice coffee table book...7 points

I always wonder what's on their mind? "Hey I found this dead place, a post once in a blue moon. This has to be THE place to ask this question which has like nothing to do with the other posts here"5 points

Two sided "The Rats Hole" Custom Chopper Show '87 single stitch T shirt with bootleg Big Daddy Rat "Fink" on a MIUSA 50/50 Screen Stars medium. Perfect fit and fade, with amazing weird graphics, multiple fonts and a subject matter to make the strs nervous. And that back hit is so good. Perfect 10/10. No notes.4 points

Thanks...think it was last year 2024. I got it from Hoosier last May, I was in Kyoto and got some stuff from there in person -some of which was old season but that was a new arrival. Cool store to visit IRL lots of crazy older FW and Barnstormers pieces, pretty sure I saw that Lee Marvin belt the Duke made for him hanging up in there too.3 points

Earlier this week Mrs. CSL and I decided to escape the heat and head to the California Coast for a few days. We had no definite plan other than to stop wherever seemed interesting and fun. Half Moon Bay was our first stop. After a night in a very smoky hotel room (from a fireplace apparently without adequate venting) we found a nice row of horticultural shops. Lot's of nice orchids here. We bought a few. Then we headed to San Carlos to visit Brogueshop (I lied when I said there was no definite plan...).It's a beautiful store and perhaps the only place in the US that stocks Freewheelers? Definitely the only one that stocks Timeworn/AtLast Co. It was great to see their products in person. A cap and glasses that I didn't buy. I did snag some things however, and Mrs. CSL got a sweater (already put away). I really didn't need another FW flannel shirt but as I've now become fond of saying, "Sometimes even when you don't need it, you need it..." We headed back to Miramar Beach, had dinner and searched for lodgings, finding a nice B&B by the ocean. Obligatory seagull pic His tracks and mine (Paraboot as usual). I think these structures are some kind of an art gallery made to look like a viking stave church I think. The next day we headed south planning to stop somewhere around Monterey. Encountered what I'm told is an authentic British pub along the way😉. 1st wear for the new FW shirt. Now it'll be in the closet until November probably. After this we encountered some LA grade traffic around Santa Cruz. After driving round in circles trying to get to a Starbucks, mainly for the bathroom we took a random road and pulled into a parking lot to regroup. By a complete coincidence we were at the Universal Audio facility. Those involved with music and recording will no doubt be familiar with the brand. Braving the road again we started our search for the night's accommodations. We found a place in Pacific Grove which worked fine as we weren't bothered about being in Monterey proper. (I visit there every year for a music festival). We enjoyed the neighborhood. A good selection of restaurants, record shops (one with a bar), and an art museum focused on local artists of the Steinbeck era, most or all being associated of his. I was very keen on this guy's work, of which I was previously unaware. After that we had lunch and visited an antique mall. I didn't buy these books but thought them cool enough to photo. Then it was back to the 101, and gradually rising temperatures, before arriving home at sunset. Since I can't figure out how to delete these extras let's call them bonus pics.3 points

That, and people who join specifically to sell or ask the value of an item, in a place that no-one visits!2 points

I had the S409XXX M-WW2 and 22501 Two of the most ill fitting pairs of jeans I’ve ever owned - which is a shame because every other detail was spot on2 points

Everyday drivers. Right pocket shredded due to everyday pocket knife usage. Will have to repair. Rear pocket rivets trying to eat their way through. Really enjoying the weight of this denim; has truly made wearing jeans in the summer bearable. I just gave them their second wash this weekend, and here they are after air drying: I gotta figure out best way to tackle the pocket. Looks like everyone’s patch design has disappeared, so sad about it! Would be a cool graphic for Simone to put on a t-shirt though! 👀 lovely seeing all of the pics and adventures of you guys. Will try to update more2 points

@Double 0 Soul Can't remember when we were having the conversation about clothes racks, particularly jeans storage? Think it was just after @beautiful_FrEaK did a show and tell on his wooden jeans rack some time back. You (Neal) made a quip about my homemade effort being a couple of runner bean canes and some string 🤣 Anyhow, l could go on about how l actually would do a half decent job if l so wished to make one (l have some skills) but l am in fact quite a bit of a lazy bastard, so instead here is my effort for now. It took no time at all to make: Simply go to any UK store on its last day of business - l went to Wilkos and bought a clothes rail for 17 quid ( l got 2, one also for Mrs_Heech) and then over to M & Co for some free hangers (well they would have ended up in landfill knowing how contractors work). Made some adjustments to the rail to make it more bespoke by cutting the length of the legs. Might add a couple of jackets 🤔 but otherwise Job done 😁.2 points

I haven't handled any other Full Count denim or 60's repros in person, but they're definitely lighter than the TCB 50's fabric if that helps. Also - it could just be the lighting/camera. Took this one in a bit more sunlight. Wore these throughout the winter and they were great! Never felt super cold unless it was subzero temps, haha. Not much in the way of honeycombs...but yes, whiskers are coming through nicely.1 point

How the hell do you manage to mix up the 22501 with the 22501XX? They can't make it any clearer1 point
-
You’re thinking of the 22501 - which is a different pair from the 22501XX, even though on paper they read identical. That model (22501) was reissued at least once Different denim, different cut/fit, seemingly modeled after different pairs of S501XX (it’s how I reason the stark differences) - these 22501XX use CSF WW2 denim, and the pair of 22501 I had used the Miura denim iirc I have the Dappers CSF S406XXX M-WW2 jacket, and CSF S406XXX M-46 jacket. I am Not sure if the Dappers collab jackets have been reissued Fit between the M-WW2 and M-46 would be the M-46 is slimmer through the chest and sleeves Photos of both: M-WW2 CSF for Dappers M-46 CSF house brand1 point

Bathroom is at a standstill while we figure out what we're doing about the floor. Have ideas for new tile, but gotta pick a contractor. So in the meantime I started working on patching the water damaged plaster on the ceiling of what will become our master bedroom. Cut along the joists with the sawzall yesterday. That was messy as hell. Then today I sistered some studs to the joists and hung drywall. Only reason I used the mold resistant boards is cos I had a sheet leftover from the bathroom. Then I went for a bike ride with my girl and found a pump track a mile down the road from our house. My parents will be pleased that this means I will be getting my dirt jump bike out of thir basement sooner rather than later.1 point

Nothing to get excited about but am watching these Nos Levis 1501 0117 double lock-stitch redlines in a size 35 x 38 on greedbay. The reason l'm watching them, being l'm always trying to 'revaluate' my own pair, which are almost identical but made in 1978. The reason for sharing though is that I've always wondered when the switch between the wash tag stating 8% shrinkage and 10% shrinkage, and l can conclude that it seems from the 1981 model 501 onwards, the 10% label was the norm. Obviously there are anomalies etc but this is not in anyway conclusive as levis labels don't always match garments plus the newer, wider looms that Cone had in to replace the older ones were switched around the early 80s. So maybe that's significant? Fyi These were made at one of the 3 San Fran factories in June of 1980. Anyway enough ramblings. Some photos.. Omg no sufu-photo jiggery pokery for once!1 point

^ Just my opinion, but I don’t think so. I believe it simply depends on the setting of the individual operator’s hemming machine.1 point

Did our annual bicycle camp trip with mini sailor( not so mini anymore) this year was our eight edition. We cycle about 45 km and camp in the Woodson a little campground, we brush our teeth twice if we think about it, change our shorts once and swim in in a local lake. The lake is a sand digs, looks like a Norwegian picture. previous yrs I had to push my boy along the way, not going so fast , this year we flew both ways we agreed to keep doing it even when I ride a scootmobiel1 point

Sorry to be posting more of the same, but here's some more shots taken indoors which show the denim colour and texture a bit better. Will have to get some nice shots using a proper camera one day. Like l said before, Love these. The 506XX jacket has got hardly any wear when compared to the jeans but does share some of the nice puckering... First post with pics that haven't been Sufu'd. I'm having a beer!1 point
