My fades seem a lot more "contemporary" than the vintage-type fades of most of the other contestants.

I think there will be a real wide range in looks by the time this is all done.

Happy new year superdenim! Here are some 13 month updates. I've included better shots of all the patching, since it's gotten so extreme.

Thanks beatle! Yes, these have been everyday wear. If the reproduction is truly authentic, then working guys in the '40s must have been really frustrated with these troubles.

My wallet snap just busted through. It's a newer acquisition so there wasn't a chance to get any contour fades.

I don't think I'll repair it until it needs a fuller patch.

Small update on my 37s.

Finally got them back into rotation after procrastinating on a crotch repair. They also sewed one of my belt loops back on, as well as sew up the front pocket seam.

Not much difference, probably 6 months of wear, 6 soaks and a machine wash.

Sorry about the delay on the one-year update for my 37s.

I got a uniform to wear for work, so unfortunately these are no longer seeing daily wear. This is after their last wash. I hope I can find the before-wash pics, as they won't be getting that dirty again in a while.

Update date time. Will be one year old onFeb 3rd. Figure 9 to 10 months of actual wear, and a similiar number of washes. Will post more pix in the LVC thread.

Every time I take photos I get pissed about my lack of picture taking ability.

Yeah, dissappointing to see what was supposed to be 54 contestants has wound up being around a dozen at most.

Don't worry about dye loss, your jeans look fantastic!

I wouldn't be suprised if the photo requirement gets dropped. If it doesn't, I think we'll only have seven or eight guys eligible in the end.

I've been wearing mine a lot, but I have had an awful time getting decent pictures with my shitty point and shoot. I think my frustration with the pic quality leads me to just post the minimum (which I think I'm meeting). Here is my 1 year update, and I love the 33s but I wish I could get better pictures of them. They are quite nice in person but just underwhelm in these pics.

I'm stoked that we're actually < 1 year from the end of a 2 year contest... Other contests end, when it seems that some of the contest pairs are beginning to look spectacular.... this one is just beginning.

Know who I'd like to see updates from? joe@cultizm... where's that guy at? Anyone know what's up with him?

man I feel bad that I have stopped wearing mine, but I didnt expect this Roy contest to go down, I still break em out every once in awhile if I got work to do tho. They will see more wear once summer comes around tho

Not sure where joe has been but Cultizm has a few crazy things going on the past few months so I'm sure they are busy.

As far as contestant drop outs, I feel bad for having to sell my jeans which ultimately didn't fit but I've been blown away with all the pairs posted on here so far. If you would still like to follow my old 1937's, check out whenever cheep posts his fits! I'm sure they're being worn hard...

37's seem really light weight, crotch isn't fairing too well.

Wore my '66s yesterday, and when I was getting ready for work today I nearly threw them on rather than my '55s. Realized I wouldn't mind wearing a nice, new, dark pair of jeans on a regular basis. The '55s are kinda at that sweet spot right now, and do I want to run them into the ground over the course of the next ten months? '55s won out though and were worn to work today, as they probably will every day for the next ten months...
