My girlfriend and I had plans to go out to lunch so I walked into her apartment and some dude I've never seen before was just standing in the living room staring at me as I walked in. Kind of still stoned and definitely hungover I stopped and just stared back at him. And then these random children popped up out of nowhere and started staring at me too. And then some lady came into the living room. None of us said anything. We just stood there. I stared at them, they stared at me.

And then I remembered my girlfriend didn't live at that apartment anymore and I walked backwards out the door slowly.

I was telling my classmate how I fried up a dozen wings and then assembled some IKEA furniture afterwards, and I joked how it was a bad idea because the allen wrench kept slipping out of my hands from the chicken grease, and how there's now a fine sheen on the table I assembled. He looked visibly disgusted, and I was like, "Haha, just kidding, I washed my hands..."

Then as I opened up my laptop, we both looked at my keyboard, which had big grease spots all over the keys from my fingers. And then he looked at my iPhone, which had a big grease swipe mark over the unlock area on the screen. I just looked down in shame and neither of us said anything.

Right after talking to my professor about a research project we might venture into, I pulled out my hand for a handshake, but he then made a fist for a fist bump. I ended up shaking his fist and then fumbling to a fist bump.

Maybe that doesn't seem so awkward for you guys but the 5 seconds of silence after that was really awkward.

Had some friends over for beers today after work. After an hour or so of drinking, my new roommate (he's been living there for about a month) comes in followed by his mom, dad and brother. We say hi to them and then go back to doing our thing. About fifteen minutes later, my roommates mom (she's Korean btw) walks up to us and proceeds to give us a lecture about how we're corrupting her son. She says that we're not allowed to drink alcohol anymore and that my apartment is "not a private space". She also gives my friend a bunch of shit for smoking his electronic cigarette. After about ten minutes of yelling at us, she finally leaves. At this point, my roommates brother proceeds to give a lesson on spirituality and how "unicorns and leprechauns are real" to my roommate's friend who just happened to be sitting in the living room with us. Also, throughout this whole weird series of events, my friends and I are drunkenly sitting on the couch watching Hey Arnold.

the other night i was waiting for one of my friends to pick me up from my apartment. so i see this car pullup in front of my apartment from my window and I exit the apartment open the back door of the car and hop in the backseat and im like "hey wassup guys!" then i realized it was my neighbor who i never really met or speak to. he was like "wrong car man" shit was awkward as hell. so what i did was play it off and introduced myself to him and exited the vehicle.

i felt so dumb.
