i've removed tons of those on my cat when i was younger and it was still alive, the tick sucks the blood and can become quite huge if not removed. when it's too big you cat starts acting weird haha.

i once had a tick on my leg after i came back from a bike ride, i scratched my leg thinking it was dirt, as it didn't come off it freaked me out for a second, took a closer look and ripped that fucker out with some tweezers
