both purchases were inspired by the SF threads 'german army sneakers' and 'pro keds online'. the sambas aint as tight as the ones discussed in the thread, but i've always liked 'em from the first time i saw 'em. the color of the keds look way better than in the photo and at $20, a pretty good come up. thanks damnIam for the link.

Padmore & Barnes made those for Supreme in 2001. P&B made Wallabees for Clarks for decades until Clarks moved production to Asia, right around the same time. At that point P&B shut its doors for good...

I gotta say the owner was a really nice guy, it was the only time I had to go visit his store and he waited for me after closing time and left the store open for an additional 1.5hrs. Not many people would do that...
