This is especially bad with fellow asians. Please, I implore you, follow this advice:

If you see me or anyone else for that matter that you think is a SFer, or just dresses well, or has certain pieces you like, for chrissakes, don't stare, don't look back a few times over your shoulder stealing what you think are covert glances, don't look and then whisper to your girlfriend "That guy's a SFer!" or "I know that guy from the internet" and then have her turn around and look either.

If you recognize someone, damn it all, just come up and SAY HI. Chances are they'll be nice. If you don't want to say hi, then stop F-ing stealing glances all the time, its painfully obvious, and then when you finally do decide to ask about that piece, I'm likely to be alot grumpier.

And yes, Asians are particularly bad at staring. They do it with everyone, superfuture or not. They look at you, and then you notice them staring, but they don't look away...
