It's a B-15A, yes? Who's the manufacturer on the label?

I would also like to know. After doing a quick search with Google I found a B-15 flight jacket but it looks a bit different, the collar fur/material is darker and there is an Army Air Force patch on the left shoulder. http://www.acejackets.com/Cockpit_B_15_Nylon_Flight_Jacket_p/z2213.htm

I don't know who the maker is but I know that it's a B-15A which means it's made of a cotton twill with an alpaca lining, and has a real mouton collar. You can tell a B-15 from a B-15A because the A series has the triangle oxygen mask tabs on either side of the zipper. The B-15A was the flight jacket issued at the very end of WW2 - if you ever see it in photos, that photo was taken in the spring (or later) of 1945. It also showed up a lot in the Korean war.

The jacket you found on Google isn't going to look much like this original. Eastman makes a reproduction B-15 that is quite accurate.

I'm impressed by your knowledge of flight jackets Jake.

I don't really like the one I posted from Ace Jackets because of the nylon sheen and shoulder patch. I'd prefer not to wear a jacket that advertises my ties to the Air Force when I'm off duty, especially when I'm off base here in Europe.

I can definitely understand - contact Eastman, they would be willing to make a jacket for you without the shoulder decal. In either case it's not the same as the modern air force insignia and it should say Army Air Force - not just Air Force.

I understand, but a military tie is a military tie ;)

That jacket in the photo Chuck posted is exactly what I've been looking for. I hope I can get my hands on one soon.

Madeline,

Do you have or have you seen a western belt usually in black leather with small sections of white shapes of different sizes on them that have one or more colored jewels on them? I had one as a kid and I've seen someone wearing one in the Lightening mag "Denim Indigo Master" edition. I'd love to get one.

I found an image.

Hi,

How amazing is this site? Do you guys like it? Feedback please. If you guys ever have any question you can always also contact Lynn Downey she is amazing and very helpful. Let me know what else you guys want to see?

Best,

Madeline

Hey the site is great and has a nice look that goes with the clothes. I would like to see more pics on the site of the items for sale, even if you dont list specific sizes and such, pics and a short description of product would be great and would help in picking stuff out, then I could just call and ask about sizes. The products would fly off the shelf more, which could be good or bad depending on who you ask

Also, it seems you only post pics of jeans that are big waists and hems. do you have any smaller sizes like 29-31 waist with 32-34 inseams?

Hello,

That sounds like a great idea. I will work on that today. So your idea is to take pics of product and post despriptions of different styles and sizes? I love it.

Thanks

Madeline

Hey Madeline,

great stuff.

Could you maybe tell me how the repair job on the right (so left in the pic) knee of those depression overalls was done, It seems to be under the hole, but I can't make out any stitching...

Is it attached all the way to in- and sideseam?

(Oh and thanks for the b-day greatings earlier this month!!!)
