I suspect I have probably been neg repped but don't know where to look for them.

there is a 'bug' of sorts in the rep hierarchy. there are in fact two levels where you are "a glorious beacon of light." in between them are "is precious metal" and "thinks this is a fucking popularity contest." so the 3 +reps actually jumped you 3 levels up (the first of those 3 reps actually skipped you a level -- must have been from one of the sufu elite).
