He's a khao manee, and today is his TWENTIETH birthday. Happy birthday, old man!

I think part of it is genetics - khao manees are a siamese breed and siamese cats are an extremely stable breed and don't generally suffer from inherited diseases. They also tend to just be generally long-lived.

For the past 8 or so years we've only been giving him expensive cat food. The no-grain, natural ingredient type. And as he's gotten older also lower-protein food. The wife gives him cat multivitamins and for a very long time has given him capsules of golden aloe:

By puncturing them and making him eat the gel. I've no idea how much any of this has contributed to his longevity as compared to his intrinsic general badassness, but that's his history....
