are all of the Nudie Straight Sven Jeans streaky? Or is it only the certain "flame denim" that has the streaky effect? ON the nudie website in the straight sven collection it only has one kind of dry selvage, so this is confusing me as to whether there are two different kinds of SSDS

as giraffe said, probably size and body type. I'm 6' and around 170lbs wearing a sz 32, I assume that other guy is pretty small and wears a relatively large size. based on pics that I've seen, they more often fit like mine.

nope. selvedge is not a marker for quality of denim. if you can, read a bit about the john bull denim before you buy, see what others say. also make sure that the cut is exactly what you want.

What are you looking for? Skinny Lowrise? Straight? Highrise? or just women's denim in general?

If just women's raw denim in general heres some more suggestions: Iron Heart Tomboys, Samurai Geishas, APC Hipsters, Sling N Stones Rachels, Nudie SSK. Thats just off the top of my head and I wouldn't say the Acnes have "not great" quality because the quality is pretty decently abovish average depending on what your comparing them to.

I'll be working on some ssk until apr/may, but I'm seeing results a bit faster than expected. Not terribly interested in ssr, and the iht (21 oz??) and sg might be too too pricey. Something that's straight might be a change, but am not adverse to something more tapered.

I want a "normal" fitting (not SF standard) pair of jeans from Oni. I am 6'6" about 185 (very thin but not looking for skinny fit, I already have SDA 103 which I consider a pretty slim cut). Should I get the Blue's or the Red's?

Yeah, I really like the fade of the SDA and its also left-hand twill.

But the Samurai are also a killer with 19 oz!

You also say that they are better constructed, could you be more specific?

I can't speak to the 19 oz models, but a buddy of mine accidently ripped the outseam of his Sams (don't know the model number) in two which I found shocking at the time (they weren't even tight). Also, the left hand twill that I have seen looks wonderful.
