Flathead f 380 or the new SESC???

New SExSC...if you have seen the slack denim in person, there wouldn't even be a question...plus take the limited edition now and if you want the 380 in a year or two, it will be there.

i am also a skinny guy, 27.5 at waist and 5'10

looking to buy a high quality denim that will fade at some pt and wont tear apart too quickly

slim (not skintight) fit

low or mid rise

narrowed it down to these options

1) samurai 710/610lx - not sure if they'll look too baggy

2) sexsc06

3) flathead 1001

4) somet 008

5) se05 bsp

Looking for skinny jeans. I am a skinny guy. 27& a half inch waist. 5'10

Would these look good on me?

Or is there anything else on selfedge you'd recommend.

They will look good if you want a crazy high rise for such slim jeans. I think the SExSCs are a pretty excellent choice as are the Flathead BSPs and 1001s. Anyone of those gives you a slim cut and fantastic denim.

I've decided on these. How long do you think that I will have to wait for the size 27's?

I also want to thank everyone for their help.

That would be a great choice, except for the fact that those were a one time limited edition collaboration. You could check the supermarket, but those got snagged very quickly in the small sizes and I would guess you would be hard pressed to find a fresh pair at this point.

If that cut is something you have to have...you could always grab a pair of Dior 19cm, the cut which that jean is based on, but if its quality denim you want, you are better off picking up the slimmest Somets you can find. Another potential option, if you could get down with the super low rise is the Flat Head Balder, a women's jean with nice denim that can definitely be well worn by males.

For you i'd say the flat head bsp's. All of the other cuts are kind of slim, but not quite as slim as the somets or the flat heads. Because your so skinny i think they'd simply look better on your frame. The denim on the flat heads is pretty ridiculous too.

I'm debating over the SEXSC06 sugar canes or the F310. what would you guys recommend. and personally i'm a fan of more slubby denim

Though I have already said this twice on this page alone...the SExSC06s are something special...I would be all over them if I hadn't sworn off slim jeans. The denim has insane texture and character. Also...F310s will be around for the forseeable future...SExSC06s not so much.

SE X SC now.. or wait for SFxSExDB collab in january? Im more interested in denim quality and fading properties because both fits look pretty nice. I like the plain back pockets on the SExSC. Also, I might hem either one if I get them because I have plenty of long skinny jeans.

Here's my criteria:

pure indigo (doesn't have to be natural... too expensive)

raw preferable, but I guess I can try one-wash

selvedge

special pocket bags

lined back pockets

copper rivets and hidden

Zimbabwe cotton (definitely preferable)

slim-- 12" thigh, 8-9" leg opening (must be slim, but not skin-tight)

Everything I found about this jean is perfect:

However I want a slimmer fit!

Any recommendations?

Thank you so much for your help!

These dont have colored pocketbags or lined backpockets but the cut is great and it comes with Zimbabwe cotton denim. If you want them to be extra special join this contest: http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=62787

I bought these for $255 at BiG in August. They're great. Overpriced. But eh, my first pair. Actually while I was in Tokyo I almost made my first pair to be Evisu Lot 2001's and I'm glad I didn't.

I think scoon0224 found the perfect jeans for me:

However I'm unfamiliar with this one-washed, sanforized feature... maybe it's interesting to have the jeans soaked in Japanese seawater... :/

I would love if it if there were a raw version but I can't find it.

seXsc06 might be something to look into.

thanks for the recommendation, but i did try on the pair and decided that while the cut was perfect (!!!) the denim wasn't what i wanted. sugar cane makes the denim look as if the cotton had pilled all over, making the jean look less dressy and less appropriate to wear with a nice button down. my fc1108 however, with zimbabwe cotton, looks great with a button down.

but again, thanks for the recommendation-- i really appreciate it.

I am looking to get a pair of LVC 501s. I want a true straight cut with the roomiest thigh possible. I have it narrowed down to the '44 or '55 (was thinking about the '37, but not a fan of the cinch back) So what would you recommend?
