The tin drum was the first foreign language movie I ever saw. I was 5 or 6 years old and I remember being bored stiff apart from the sex scenes and German uniforms.

liked it very much, but the way the teacher was so pretty was odd, and the lesbian thing seemed a out of place (dunno why people just throw in the gay thing into stories (makes your movie more interesting/progressive?), was put off by the same thing in elephant)

i loved the visuals and it seemed like it get interesting, but it was way to slow and i ended up turning it off. i might have just been in an impatient mood though...
