Me too. Really charming, heartbreaking at times. The characters never got too precious/annoying like in Wes Anderson's recent films. Was kind of confused at amount of Beach Boys on the soundtrack although it worked well.

i agree. i felt like 9 was incomplete. really great visually, content.. not so much.

have to agree for the most part. there were a few really clever ideas (like getting "high" on the magnet) but it just felt unfinished. ~70 minute runtime without credits...

in Syriana as well.

First time I watched it I didn't really pay attention that much (interwebs or some shit) so I was sort of hazy on the plot but this time around I watched it and really liked it.

I went in expecting 2/10 and came away feeling it was ~ 6/10. It was somewhat unfinished, and formulaic, but there were some interesting concepts, and it was visually appealing (enough).

My expectations are probably not as stringent...
