RICK OWENS SUMMER DENIM COLLECTION 

An all new denim and all new fit from the new Rick Owens collection is here. The Kurdt model is made of a an interesting 12oz black denim which has a sulfur dyed warp and reactive dyed weft for maximum fading character. This jean is Rick's' take on a classic 501 straight leg style jean with a medium rise; definitely a future classic. 

One of our favorite pieces from the new Rick Owens collection are the washed outershirts. These can be worn as a denim jacket or as a shirt worn over just a t-shirt. They have heavy duty zippered inner pockets and outer snap buttoned chest pockets making them quite functional too. This new version is made of a heavily washed 13oz indigo denim for zero break-in period.

Rick Owens Made in Japan cropped outershirts are also here, made of a 12oz black/black Japanese selvedge denim. These things are fucking awesome; they come with Japanese made YKK hardware and come with two large inner zippered pockets.

We also have Walrus t-shirts, made of an in-house developed 100% cotton heavy jersey and come in a dark orange color in addition to the Dark Dust version we received last month.

GLOBE SPECS SUMMER EYEWEAR COLLECTION 

The 2025 Globe Specs x Old Joe and Scye collections are here. These capsule collections were designed by Tetsuya Okada of Globe Specs with Yusuke Takagi of Old Joe working on the OJ models. These frames are fully handmade in Japan out of titanium, acetate, and nickel alloy and come with custom hard cases. These models are inspired by early 20th century eyewear designs and are extremely comfortable due to their light weight and well proportioned designs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We’ve got rare images and interviews with Samurai founder Tohru Nogami, Japanese denim export specialist Yoshi Yakushiji, and Kiya Babzani of Self Edge. NEW SUGAR CANE JEANS & WHITESVILLE T-SHIRTS! 

A huge delivery from Sugar Cane, Buzz Rickson, and Whitesville just landed at all stores.

Sugar Cane’s new bootcut jeans are here. These are words you probably weren’t expecting to read today. We used to carry bootcut jeans from Sugar Cane, Iron Heart, and Imperial from 2006 to 2009; but over the years most Japanese brands phased out these models as demand for slimmer and tapered (then wider) jeans erased any interest in bootcut silhouettes. Sugar Cane seems to be the first Japanese brand to revisit this style with a completely reworked fit and a new pure-indigo dyed 14oz denim developed in-house and based off bootcut jeans from the early 1970’s, while the fit is inspired by silhouettes closer to the late 1970’s. I guess if you’re selling jeans for nearly 20 years then you’ll see styles you never thought would come back actually come back, and here we are, bootcut jeans, we have them again.

Sugar Cane Fiction & Romance Work Pants are also here. These are made of an 8oz indigo stripe fabric, woven on a shuttle loom, and inspired by vintage narrow-width textiles originally used for traditional Japanese clothing. Initially it appears to be a simple indigo-and-natural stripe fabric, but upon closer inspection, small white areas can be seen within the indigo base. These subtle white sections are created using kasuri yarns, which are carefully resist-dyed to produce a two-tone effect within a single thread. 

We've also received USN chambray shirts and 1942 wide chinos from Buzz Rickson, a full restock of 100% cotton Sugar Cane jeans, and just in time for summer, pocket tees in two colors and plain 2-pack tees in four colors from Whitesville.

THE SELF EDGE X SAMURAI X 3SIXTEEN SEXSX3S27 CAPSULE COLLECTION - THE REDLINERS 

We've come together with Samurai and 3sixteen, two very well known denim brands we've been working with for a combined 25 years to bring you a capsule collection inspired by our love of Japanese cars. Samurai has had a legitimate racing team building exclusively vintage JDM (Japan Domestic Market) cars for nearly two decades and the crew behind 3sixteen & Self Edge used to build street racing Toyotas and Hondas years ago. We always wanted to do a collaboration involving two different denim focused brands and bringing Samurai together with 3sixteen felt like a natural fit.

All three entities worked on designing an all new Samurai denim from the ground up to create two jeans and a denim jacket which were made in Japan, along with a printed pocket t-shirt which was made in the USA with Japanese hardware accents. The denim is a 15oz Japanese selvedge denim with a natural and synthetic indigo dyed warp made of medium staple 100% Texas cotton fibers while the weft is made of a custom blend of natural un-bleached short staple cottons from Greece, Australia, and the USA. We went with a charcoal selvedge ID with a silver lamé thread, understated and very Samurai. The jean is finished with .950 sterling silver plated sakura buttons, Samurai original rivets, and ShoGyo-Mujo jacquard pocket bags, while the jacket is finished with original Samurai black snap buttons, an inner chest pocket, a heavyweight cowhide patch, a Samurai Motorclub tag, and a 100% cotton drawstring.

STUDIO D’ARTISAN AMAMI DOROZOME & SLUBBY GL3 JEANS 

We've got a really special jean here as we see Studio D’Artisan pushing their production techniques to a new level, the Amami-Dorozome double-indigo mud dyed jeans. These jeans have been mud dyed over indigo denim by hand in Amami Oshima, Japan. Absolutely beautiful and once the mud-dyed “overdye” fades away you’ll be able to see the deep indigo denim underneath. These will look truly amazing after some wear as they patina and the indigo denim shows through the "overdye".

These GL3 SD-1001 (classic straight leg) and SD-1008 (relax tapered) models are Studio D'Artisan's newest jean made of their newly developed slubby 15oz denim. They nailed the feel and look of this denim, with the 15oz weight it's a heavy denim which can be worn year round. SDA truly nailed the perfect amount of slub yarn character for just the right about of slub pattern in the denim. This denim is unsanforized (but rinsed) and has some great character to it; it starts out a little darker than your average raw indigo jean so it's sure to look great once the patina forms as some areas start to lighten with regular wear.

FINE CREEK SHINKI HORSEHIDE RICHMONDS66 TYPE I JACKET 

Fine Creek finally hits us with a fresh production run of their Type I jacket made of Shinki horsehide; we’ve been waiting what seems like years for this jacket to come back. These are made of a 1.5mm vegetable tanned, aniline finished, tea-core dyed Shinki horsehide leather and finished with a pigment dyed 100% cotton liner and vintage style steel buttons. These are not produced by a factory producing jackets for other brands, these are produced in Fine Creek’s own small workshop in Tokyo.

Seuvas' summer collection is here. We have three new short sleeve shirts made of some super interesting Japanese textiles with the top level sewing quality and button details that Seuvas is known for. 

We've also received fresh production runs of their #11 canvas coverall jacket and 79A farmer's shirt, both in natural untreated canvas which is produced in-house at their own canvas mill in Kurashiki City, Japan.

3SIXTEEN SUMMER LINE & WIDE LEG JEANS 

New 3sixteen Vacation shirts have landed. These black polka dot shirts are made of a 100% hemp fiber and have been hand screen printed and washed for a lived-in feel.

We also have Ultraweight Smoke Garment-Dyed Hoodies; this a reworked hoodie style by 3sixteen made of a new super heavy 32oz french terry which has been garment dyed in a smoke color. These hoodies have a more relaxed fit compared to the rest of their hoodie line-up.

Wide leg jeans from 3sixteen are also here in a 14.5oz black/black Japanese selvedge and a 14.5oz pure indigo dyed Japanese denim.

BONCOURA BLACK DENIM JEANS & REVERSE-WEAVE SWEATS 

Boncoura hits us this week with new black jeans, reverse-weave sweatshirts and sweatshorts, and a new run of their 1966 jeans in their flagship indigo denim.

Boncoura’s first black denim jeans are here, and as expected, they look amazing. There is a lot we can say about Boncoura’s jeans.. From the unique heft and unique feel of their denim, to the way the sewing is so precise, to the original yarns and hardware produced for every pair, these are truly some of the best black jeans we’ve ever carried. Boncoura Extra-Long Staple Cotton Reverse-Weave short sleeve sweatshirts and sweatshorts in two colors are also here. These are made of new fabric developed for Boncoura's short-sleeve sweatshirts and sweat shorts—designed with spring and summer in mind. At its core is extra-long staple cotton, known for its softness and smooth hand feel. To create a deeper look Boncoura blends several types of cotton and introduces "fallen cotton"—fibers left from spinning. But not all fallen cotton is the same; depending on the cotton species and fiber characteristics, it greatly influences the texture and appearance of the fabric. By using fallen cotton from long, soft fibers, they maintain the refined touch while achieving a unique knit depth. The reverse side features a looped terry structure perfect for warmer months. Carefully adjusted yarn thickness and knit density help create a natural layer of air between skin and fabric—offering breathability without compromising structure.

STEVENSON OVERALL CO. SUMMER COLLECTION 

We've just received Stevenson's selection of summer shirts and basics including new tank tops, underwear, Cody western shirts, and loopwheeled henley t-shirts.

Stevenson Dual-Comfort tank tops are here in two colors. These are produced of a double-faced grafted fabric, consisting of two pieces of cotton material bonded together with a vintage dobby style loom, making this a versatile piece for all season wear. The fabric is soft to the touch and can be easily worn as a layering piece or on its own. The design is inspired by vintage tank tops issued by the U.S. military, reimagined as casual wear rather than underwear.

We now also have a fresh run of the Stevenson Overall Cody shirt in stock, this one in a 6.5oz black/black sulfur-dyed denim version. These are made of a ring-spun Zimbabwe cotton and finished with a super-fine stitch count and Belnap stone snap buttons. The front yoke of these Cody shirts is shaped like a buffalo horn and the back yoke is designed in a wing-shape while chest pockets, sleeve plackets, and cuffs are designed in an arch. Some truly beautiful lines running throughout these shirts.

We've also received Stevenson’s loopwheeled henley t-shirts in two colors; we believe this to be the best version of this type of henley tee you can find by any brand. The cotton is organic, unbleached, un-acetate washed, and starts as a medium to short staple cotton fiber. The fabric is knit on a vintage loopwheeling machine which knits the fabric in a circular pattern with a gravity assisted “pull” which leaves a horizontal knit pattern on the fabric. The sleeve hem in of itself is a work of art; using multiple styles of knitting patterns flat lock stitched together to create the snug hem of the sleeve, and the shirt is finished with a real rayon woven tag.

Lastly we have some very nice boxer briefs made of a Tanguis cotton that’s soft yet sturdy. These are based on a vintage design but updated in all the right areas so you don’t have to go looking for some WWII-era chonies at the vintage store.

MISTER FREEDOM SUMMER COLLECTION & BLANK T-SHIRTS 

Mister Freedom Homesteader shirts are here as part of their new summer collection. These are made of a “new old stock” indigo dyed Cone Mills jacquard fabric and finished with vintage 1920’s French glass buttons. 

We’ve also received a small run of 10oz Japanese denim Ranch jackets. These are made of a Kaihara milled 10oz dark indigo warp and gray weft denim and finished with black donut wreath buttons and blank copper rivets with leather washer backings.

Mister Freedom’s blank tees are back at all stores and now available in black for the first time. These are made out of a 100% US grown cotton and made using an original Mister Freedom pattern, inspired by 1940’s/1950’s cotton t-shirts. Available now in white, sage, navy blue, and black.

SUGAR CANE DENIM JACKETS & TROUSERS + BUZZ RICKSON GOV. ISSUE TEES 

A few very hot things from Sugar Cane just landed along with a full restock of Buzz Rickson's Government Issue blank t-shirts in three colors. The Sugar Cane Super Denim Collectibles #10 1945 14oz denim jacket is here, made in super limited numbers and with many unique sewing details. Please check the product page for this jacket for a lengthy rundown of all of its features (and faults).

We've also received Sugar Cane's 1953 Type II denim jacket, made of a pure indigo unsanforized (but rinsed) denim. After all these years these are still some of the most sought after denim jackets coming out of Japan. 

Sugar Cane's heavy-washed cotton duck trousers are here. These follow the details of vintage French work pants, made from the same fabric and heavily washed for a lived-in feel. The pants are tailored with a slightly shorter length and a wide silhouette and finished with a vintage style black cat's eye button and a Talon zipper.

From Buzz Rickson we have a line of basics, nicely branded and packaged as you would expect from Buzz Rickson. These t-shirts have a versatile fit and come in a soft circular knit jersey made of a mix of medium and long staple cotton fibers. Available now in black, white, and olive.

THE FLAT HEAD DELRAISER JACKET, SUMMER TEES, & STOCKBURG WALLETS 

The Flat Head Delraiser jacket is back! We think this is one of the best versions of this jacket available from any brand. The Shinki semi-aniline finished horsehide, the custom zippers and snaps, the original Flat Head liner, and the toned down look due to the removal of the epaulets and belt make this one amazing jacket.

We now have new colors in both Flat Head's raglan thermal t-shirts and their heavyweight border stripe tees, along with a restock of last season's colors.

Thank you! Yeah.. it's normal for sizing to be different when it's a completely new denim, it reacts differently to being cut, sewn, and rinsed (and even overdyed).

THE SELF EDGE X IRON HEART COLLABORATION & LOS ANGELES RELEASE PARTY 

We're happy to announce that we're finally ready to release a collaboration we've been working on for (literally) five years. New fabric development in Japan has slowed down quite a bit over the years, and after quite a lot of back and forth, we've developed a new denim which we think is quite nice. With this new 19oz denim we looked at all the denim styles ever created by Iron Heart and tried to produce something which encapsulated a little bit from each denim they've produced, from their 14oz all the way up to their 25oz denim. 

We were so impressed with the denim we thought it would only be right to do all the "greatest hits" in indigo and overdyed versions. We have the 633 straight tapered jean, the 301 slim tapered jean, a CPO shirt, and a modified Type III jacket; all produced in indigo and overdyed versions. We’ve also produced a graphic pocket t-shirt and a set of stickers to round out the collection. You can now check our online store for specs, measurements, and fit photos for all 9 garments. All items are being released Saturday May 31st at all Self Edge stores and online at 9am PST the same day.

We're having a release party at Self Edge Los Angeles on May 31st from 6pm to 10pm with the full Iron Heart UK and Japan teams in attendance, hope some of you can make it!

Mister Freedom’s new Lot. 54 Californian jeans are here. These are made of a Japanese milled 13oz light-shade denim and finished with all the classic Mister Freedom Lot 54 details, which are far too many to list here. INTRODUCING COLLECTION #2 FROM ESKHATON. 

We are launching the second collection this week from a genderless jewelry line we launched last year named Eskhaton, meaning the period of time immediately before the world ends. The word is derived from “ἔσχατος”, meaning “last” in Ancient Greek. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This collection is designed, hand-made, and finished by a single person named Tristan Reynolds. Reynolds is a self-taught jewelry maker based in Melbourne, Australia. He normally does not sell to retailers as his work is generally by commission only so we’re quite appreciative of him working with us on this collection of pieces. Over the past couple of years he’s made some signature pieces which have been worn on runways, record covers, and in the press by Rick Owens, Arca, Jhene Aiko, FKA Twigs, Tyrone Dylan, and Michele Lamy. These were not stylist purchases, but personal purchases by these people who appreciate his work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Everything Reynolds produces is literally hand-made, as in there are no molds, casts, or computer drawings used. All stones are ethically sourced, and if he cannot source a certain gem ethically he has it lab grown for the piece. Much of his inspiration stems from his fascination with the human form and the natural way we age (or as he puts he, decay) over time.

Believe it or not, Good Art’s iconic Model 10 bracelet is back, and now available in a wider range of link gauges. These went out of production some years ago and we’re happy to announce they’ve brought them back in a (very) limited run. NEW ARRIVALS FROM SUGAR CANE 

We've just received the new Sugar Cane S1945 jean, the next in their Super Denim Collectibles series. These are super limited and are reproduced with an attention to detail not seen on many other jeans coming out of Japan. Please check the product page for a full rundown of what makes these jeans so special.

5oz “random chambray” summer shirts have also arrived.. This is a very special short sleeve made from random striped chambray fabric woven with navy pigment dyed warp yarns and indigo dyed weft yarns. Both chests have flap pockets, and the left chest is equipped with a pen insert and a pen pocket. The shirt is finished with multi-colored and unique metal marble buttons.

We also have Sugar Cane's Fiction & Romance Indigo-Dyed Pocket T-Shirts. This is a beautiful T-shirt made of Tenjuku fabric knit with #18 gauge cotton yarns, and dip-dyed with pure indigo after being cut and sewn. The body is tubular and the tee has a flap pocket on the left chest with a Sugar Cane engraved metal button.

INTRODUCING RIGARDS - ARTISANAL HAND-MADE EYEWEAR 

Rigards is an independent eyewear line known for its artisanal approach and unconventional materials. Founded by Ti Kwa, the brand merges avant-garde aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. Each pair of Rigards glasses is handmade, using uncommon materials like copper, horn, and wood. All Rigards eyewear is handmade in Hong Kong in their own studio, located in Sheung Wan. They are from what we know the only full fledged eyewear line in the world making their own frames in-house in a studio which only makes frames for them.
