i just received my new cures this afternoon from denimbar...i sized down one size and they fit great, i couldnt close the top two buttons at first but now theyre closed (still a bit tight but theyre comin in slowly)...i love the fit, great stacking, it was a struggle to get on at first and i hvnt taken them off yet (dreading that actually lol its gonna b tough pullin them off) but they sure do look great, cant wait to break them in more, i kind of like the raw look, dont know if im gonna like washing them in 6 months (i guess i have time to get tired of them though)

Okay, so I bought a pair of new cures and sized down 2 sizes. After wearing them for about a month just around my house (they're too tight to wear in public...), they're still reeeally tight. Is there any way to make them stretch more?

yeah, get them wet. Denim stretches like crazy when it is wet. Sit with them in a bath tub for about thirty minutes and then wear them wet and they should stretch as much as they are going to. My new cures didnt really stretch enough till I wore them hiking. You really need to put some good wear into them. I bought a 29 and the waist is now a compfortable 31, you can stretch them two sizes.

nothing's done in a month that can't be re-done quickly if you don't worry about messing up any "distressing process" and treat the jeans without too much restraint.

Do APC stores typically offer hemming? I don't mind stacking but I'm not all that tall and I don't want to look like I'm drowning in my jeans.

I havent had any exp with those sizes to know but to relate im a 29 thin fynn, 28 in slim jim and a 27 in APC.

Cure= tight

New Cure= supertight

Both are tapered from knee/calf down

New Cure run more or less true to size so it might be your best option.

generally, size 2 down from your true waist size. but you can size up/down according to the fit (loose, tight, just right) you prefer.

thanks for the help guys. I have a pair of new cures now...and I love them, just looking for something similar with a little larger leg opening. I tried NS, and the thigh was larger than I wanted. Hope the cure will be perfect.

i'd try some PBJ xx-005 jeans then, straight leg with a slimmer thigh area, sounds like they'd suit you perfectly

Are you in the US? Probably easiest to order from APC's website directly. If you're in north america, its shipped from their NYC store.

Tighter everywhere. If you size down 1 it's not a big deal but sizing down 2 and it's very very tight at first. It's a completely different cut than the NS, it's more than the taper.
