apologies for a commonly asked question, but i just want to make sure i dont ruin them. i have some mij 19cms worn pretty solidly for about 6 months. they show some really nice fading etc. but they could really do with a wash or something to get rid of the smell lol. at the moment they are a perfect fit on the waist. i couldnt afford for them to be any smaller on the waist, they would just be too small. by washing them how much will the inseam and waist shrink? and will the waist stretch back out? i am not really clued up with all the different soaks and washes lol so how can i clean them? thanks for the help!

Post pics if you can. There's not that much pics of faded DH jeans this days.

Help me pull the trigger on Dior MII Black 19cms on the LVR sale...

Dior MIJ Raw 19cms size 29 are pulled up and clasped with ease on me--- they'll be tight, but it was no struggle wearing them.

Should I grab a size 28 in the MIIs to compensate for the larger size and stretch factor? I definitely want to stretch to a sagged look for the Diors.

Does anyone have a thigh measurement for the size 28 MIIs?

Alright going to pull the trigger on MII black 19cms on LVR tomorrow, anyone wanna convince me otherwise? hrm hrm?

Just double checking again, I could just clasp the 19cm MIJ 29s. it's a snug, but comfortable fit --- especially considering what I've gone through with Skulls (29) and Samurais (sz 28). MII 28s should work out about the same right?

Leroy- I responded back to your pm. Go for the 28's, they should be good.

Shoque- It isn't rocket science. You buy tighter jeans, they stretch more. Why? Because they get even more stress from your movement.

But all denim stretches. But to be honest, what's the fucking point of buying jeans you can't wear out in public for 2 weeks because you can't button them because you sized down so much? Buy the jeans, slouch them joints and quit worrying so much.

After all, it's just money. :D

could someone tell me a little bit about the 19 cm silver selvage jeans? what's the differance between them and the ordinary raws? the material? still same indigo colour?

another quick question: have they changed the buttons on the super slender jeans to black (instead of silver) on the 17.5 cm cut?

cheers

My first pair of Diors. 21cm orange overdyes. Maybe should have sized down 1?

P1010502.jpg

those are 21cms? what size are those? a 28 maybe, no? leg opening looks mad small for 21's.

also, that is not the best pic to see the fit of a pair of jeans, actually we can't see nothing from the side. just do some front and back pics

Slimane Talking to LVMH About Possible Return

By Miles Socha

Dec. 18, 2007

PARIS — Could Hedi Slimane end up back at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton?

The men’s wear star, who parted with Dior Homme last March, has renewed talks with LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault about the launch of a Hedi Slimane fashion house, industry sources said.

The likelihood of a deal could not immediately be learned. LVMH declined comment on Monday and Slimane could not be reached.

However, sources described the recent talks as serious, underscoring that the designer has maintained excellent relations with the luxury titan.

One of Paris’ biggest fashion stars, Slimane surprised the industry with his exit from Dior Homme, which under his creative tenure brought skinny tailoring and rock ’n’ roll style back to the forefront of fashion, and electrified men’s fashion week here.

Slimane said he walked away from Dior “freely” after failing to reach an agreement about a Dior-backed Hedi Slimane house. Ownership of the Slimane brand name and control rights were said to be among the contentious issues during the initial talks.

But Slimane left the door open to reconciliation, posting a letter on his Web site shortly after exiting Dior Homme thanking Arnault for trusting him with the project. “I hope he will understand my position and decision, if not now, then hopefully with some time,” Slimane wrote.

While he has recently channeled his energies into his burgeoning career as an artist and photographer, Slimane is said to be eager to get back into the fashion game with an independent label.

For his part, Arnault is said to want to lure Slimane back into his stable of fashion stars, prizing the 39-year-old’s design prowess and wide-screen brand vision.

An art history graduate from the Ecole du Louvre, Slimane burst onto the fashion scene in the late ‘90s as the men’s wear creative director at YSL, earning standing ovations for collections that were seductively androgynous and crackling with modern energy.

In 2000, he resigned from YSL and accepted a job offer from Arnault, showing his first Dior Homme collection in January 2001, injecting the brand with buzz and a strong youth appeal.

Since then, many retailers have clamored for a Slimane women’s line, since he already enjoyed a cult female following, having dressed the likes of Madonna, Charlotte Rampling, Linda Evangelista and Nicole Kidman.

Meanwhile, Dior Homme’s new designer Kris Van Assche is readying for his runway debut for the French brand on Jan. 20.

Here's a front pic. These are actually a tagged 32. The leg opening is 8.25", so just a touch under 21cm. I like the fit for the most part--they ride right on my hips, but I think I could have sized down 1.

you really should size down at least 1. i would probably size down 2. :)

bingbing

it all depends on your taste,

but if you are trying to achieve typical dior homme model styling (like in runway), i think you should size down a lot, maybe 2 or 3. just my opinion.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. I thought I'd like them looser, but I also like how they fit in the runway pic posted on the last page...decisions, decisions...
