the difference in denim is hardly noticable when they are worn

a clear view of the side pocket, the selvedge has folded in through use and isn't so obvious now, also you can see the shape of the wraparound pockets quite well, wich are a very unique feature

1102554257_7550ed685a.jpg

look into the sidepocket, the ticker fabric that it's lined with is incredibly soft and the size and placement of the pocket are ideal to put your hand in, surprisingly this pocket is one of my favorite things about these here fine overalls

I took a 34, my regular size is 32, I could've taken an 33 aswell, but they were not produced. I´m guessing that a 32 would've fitted, but would´ve turned out too slim for my liking, for these jeans that is.

That's it for now

Pics of how they fit at the moment are allover the place.

Don't think I have to say again how much I like these.

Mister Freedom, thanks!

I wouldn't say lucky per se, since I talked alot about it with both Bill and Christophe, and they were both so kind to help me alot with figuring out what would be the perfect size for me.

These sit perfectly where I want them to be and I can wear them just as easy without belt, but have a belt most of the time, because I have the pouches on my belt it tends to get fairly heavy, but I never have to pull them up.

They'll probably shrink abit more when they are going to be washed, so that'll make up for the stretching that will stil occur.

Like I said perfect, and also fairly roomy wich fits the style and how I wear them.

Couldn't have been happier!

Here are measurements for a waist 34 (unwashed):

Waist: 35''

Inseam: 35''

Thigh width: 13.5''

bottom width: 9.3/4''

The cuff inside allows an extra 3'' of length, when unstitched.

I actually didn't measure the post soak inseam, and on that pic I have them cuffed so when uncuffed the back would just fall on top of the sole of my shoe, I consider that to be perfect for me (but maybe I'm a bit easier on it since I have very long legs and it's hard to find the perfect inseam lenght).

Also bear in mind that they were still very new, and now have relaxed more and the waist has dropped a bit because of stretching.

But too short?

Nah, I wouldn't say that.

Maybe it was because of the cuffing... I'd also be concerned about additional length shrinkage (altho there's always wet stretching). It's probably more of a personal preference - I like my hems to be just above the bottom of my shoes. :)

Cotton: The jeans that were sold by at MF itself never got those flashers because after they were stenciled they stayed with Christophe at the store, while all the others were sent back for tagging/washing.

Another interesting side note: The model "7161" is Mister Freedom's address on Beverly Blvd.... 7161 Beverly Blvd......

That makes sense, I was just curious what it looked like.

Cotton: You're right! The anchors were only put on the pairs to be sold through Mr. Freedom. You will also notice, if you look closely, that your rivets have been hand hammered. Christophe wasn't thrilled with the round rivets as they came back from the factory, so he flattened them out on all the pairs sold through his store.

^ Bill, thanks for that little piece of info, I had noticed that the rivets where hammered flat, but just assumed that it was from pounding them in.

There have been a couple of requests for an update on mine.

While there isn't that much to show yet, I couldn't resist taking more pics. Mostly details though.

These have now got 53 full days of wear in them, and are so grubby and overall dirty that I am contemplating washing them soon. Not sure, might keep going till around 6 months.

Here we go!

1329967105_1b72abb6de_o.jpg

Thought it would be interesting to include pics with my belt plus everything on it aswell, since I basicly wear the jeans like that everyday so it does take part in the fading.

1329978025_8d45036bc1.jpg

I've put suspender buttons on the them, since I wanted to be able to wear them with suspenders. Here it also shows the wear from the canvas pouch, and recently the keys (I've only hooked those on last week)

1329971361_1146227588.jpg

Used vintage iron buttons but came one short, so wood it was.

1330864512_6b6b68cfe5_o.jpg

Again, with full gear attachted (I intentionally cut the fabric size tag off a bit short, so it would show a bit)

1329975369_560aefe07e.jpg

More suspender buttons and I also attached a D-ring to a beltloop since they always come in handy.

1330871236_98da3772df.jpg

left wrap pocket, fading suprisingly fast

1329973139_0f2e6d62dd.jpg

right wrap pocket

1329972009_32c9341411.jpg

Here's a leather strap I stitched on that goes in the side pocket and hold my keys.

You can also see the start of some nice vertical falling.

1329972501_00f9071f9f.jpg

And voila, normally have my bike keys on there, but used these to illustrate as they were in my bike. (I had the feeling that whenever I was sitting a bit leaned backwards that I had to be carefull for my keys not to slip out)

1329970275_4679e4f176_o.jpg

some small starts, right leg fades faster.

And it turned into a long post yet again......!
