So I'm pretty bummed. The first day I wear out my MF gym henley, I go to scratch my back (my shirt was tucked in since it's so long), and a hole rips where I scratch. There wasn't crazy tension on the fabric nor was I scratching like I was Wolverine. Just a simple scratch. Bummer.

thats not the point, the thing should not be holing like that, you don't spend all your $$$$$ on something sweet expecting to have to "just sew it" after one wear.

Yeah...stuff happens. I got a new shirt with a hole in it sent direct from MF.

Guess what they said?

"Sorry man, that was the last one in your size. I'll send some fabric swatches, sew it. It'll look cool."

At the end of the day, you can choose two paths. I sewed it.

In all fairness, my Gym Henley got a hole kinda quick, but it didn't bother me too much. I do think repairs look cool.

At the end of the day, rarely is any garment 100% perfect.

Having exchanged plenty of emails with the guys at MF I suspect there is a positive context behind the suggestion of sewing it. I doubt that they would leave anybody out on a limb.

It wasn't tattered...it had a small hole in it.

Something that wasn't spotted at QC (quality control) Or maybe it was from someone trying it on before they shipped it to me.

MF was very pro and cordial about the hole, please don't be misconstrued. Their staff rocks.

but what could I do? Send it back and not enjoy the shirt, or fix it.

Now it truly is mine as I can spot my lousy patch job anywhere.

That shirt is indeed all sold out, I was in store yesterday looking for it.

I did however pick up the Military Drover Jacket, and love it.

Definitely check sizing before you buy, I'm normally a 42 but am comfortably a 40 in this.

Awesome jacket!

Strange that SE calls it the "military drover" though. The white blanket version uses a NOS blanket fabric that was originally for "military" blankets, but that's about the only thing military about it. The denim version doesn't have anything military that I can see.
