I'm going to regret selling these... But since moving to Australia, the weather is too hot for cordovan!!!

So here we have Alden of Carmel's well-known cordovan Indy boot, size 9.5D. As you can see in the pics, very lightly worn, tonnes of life left.

This is terrible news. I am moving to Australia and was planning on bringing two(!) pairs of cordovan boots, until now. What is appropriate footwear for Australian weather, Adelaide, to be precise?

Appropriate footwear? Hmmm... Most Aussies I know wear "thongs", which in England I would call flip-flops, not sure where you're moving from! So maybe grab a pair of those in preparation.

I wear quite light footwear, common projects trainers or boots which have a more breathable, thinner leather.

I do still have one pair of cordovan boots for formal stuff, but I seriously wear them like once every two months, so having two pairs is just overkill for me.
