I'm desperately in need of some slim straight cords in dark brown, black, or dark moss/olive/drab/etc to be worn with a raw dark indigo jean jacket. do all visvims come up big?

I need a US 9.5 in FBT's where as most of my shoes are a 10. I'm looking specifically at a pair of chukkas being my next visvim purchase if that matters.
