6MT's posts are so random. sometimes screaming in all caps for no reason, sometimes cryptic, sometimes very helpful. very unpredictable.

Quote: I'm on 2 pairs of Uniqlo's for the rest of the year and I'm pretty sure I'll manage to hold off making any more investments 'til their done, because I'm really loving them so far. MUCH better Jeans than the PRPS project I was on before.

Interesting. Which two Uniqlos do you have? Ring-spun? Shuttle denim?

actually the jeans is nothing special, but the fabric it self is alot different in color, the indigo on it looks very natuarl, it doesn't have the dark tone synthetic indigo gives, and i'm not sure what kind of dying technique was used, but the fabric it self has tremendous amount of highs and lows, i only wash it once thru the last 10 month, and the built up from natural wear gave a whole new differnt life to the fabric, instead of fading like how it should the lower portion of the leg hasgotten darker from it's original color. so i wanna make repro on it.

if that makes sense

Chicken:

Yup. Picked up Two pairs of Green-line-selv-edge-ring-spun-shuttle-loomed-goodness for twenty pounds in the Uniqlo sale down the road last year. Didn't come with a sesame seed bun though. Bit disappointed about that.

Don't get me wrong, the one rinse PRPS Are great, but the fit is SHIT. It wasn't always that way - just in 6 months they stretched out from a perfect fit at 32" to a mind boggling 35". That said the material still has a lot of promise so I'm currently renovating my flat and garden in them and they're getting a hammering ... I'm curious to how far I can take them, but I think they'll be gorgeous after I finally do cave in and wash.
