I had my 005bk's tapered a bit from the knees down. It was done in a way that the selvedge line became wider but overall they look a lot better since they were way too bootcut for my tastes originally. I got them because I really wanted a black pair, otherwise I probably should have gone with a different cut.

The listed measurements for the one wash "translation" of their raw state version posted on BIG, seem so far, to be a good indicator of their final state. IMO anyway...

My waist is 30 too and I am wearing 29 in xx-011.

It is just a little bit loose but I like the fit. So you might have to decide

between 28 - 29.
