^it simply shows, that what has become normal to us, is still unconveniant or suspicious to most people. I know people who wear their jeans one single day and then wash them. I personally never worry about bacteria. But it brings a new perspective to the "fridge bacteria killing method".

Yeah, I was taken aback by the opposition and surprise. I guess we do live in a sort of bubble, eh? I know some wash-after-each-wear people, but they're actually germaphobes, so I don't hold it against them. I got a chance to read an exposition on the freezer stink killer thing by a microbiologist, and I found it really insightful.

Josh - the best thing about ur experiment is that now we have proof _ whoever says not washing your jeans for half a year is disgusting is simply wrong...

It was a pretty informal experiment, so it's tough to generalize for everyone. In the end, it can be boiled down to a individual basis because we each person's skin flora (the bacterial environment) is somewhat unique. However, I'd say for most of the population it's safe. One cool thing is that we (SuFu and the other communities) are living proof that it's safe to do.

I feel this can go on a for bit, and I don't want to thread-jack. Would there be interest if I start a thread explaining the experiment? I think it'd be nice to hear it from the horse's mouth.

Back to this thread, I read through the first 30 pages of this thread today, and I'm really excited to join this journey with you all. My respect for you guys have deepened. It's cool to be a part of such a committed group of denim enthusiasts! I trolled for a while, and it's nice to come up from under the bridge. I'll tackle through the other 100 pages throughout the week.

i'm a germophobe and have no issues with not washing jeans unless something nasty gets on them or you roll commando and all your swamp-ass doesn't get caught by undies. there's nothing on the inside of your jeans that isn't on your body on a daily basis anyways.

if they smell, wash them...

After 2 hours of wear, photo taken at 3PM on January 1/11:

I join my brethren for representing Canada.

Strategy: These are my school pants and pajama pants. Two years will be interesting. In the first month, it's been through rain and snow, the world's biggest dodgeball game (http://www.expressnews.ualberta.ca/en/NewsArticles/2011/02/UofAtakesbackGuinnessdodgeballrecord.aspx), and 28 sleeps. Future plans, do a 100km bike ride (Tour de l'Alberta), visit Australia, to name a few

It's a shame I missed the banner and t-shirts, but I picked up some stickers just now. I collect stickers on my laptop, haha. This one will be a nice addition and conversation starter.

Any critiques on fit? These are much looser than my Nudie Slim Jims, so I'm curious to see how they evolve.

Fit looks great in my opinion. Slim but not plastered to your skin is always the way to go!

The fit looks good... combs are gonna look great, especially after two years. IMO the stacking looks kinda sloppy, I'd definitely go with a cuff... but it's all up to you.

@Josh, they look good, definitely stacks are a little messy, but if you like it keep it. Personally, I like to rock a small little cuff at the bottom. Stacks could also just be a little sloppy from the shoes you are wearing, but they'll settle down after time.

Don't hem. I like it, let the haters hate. Stacks will settle over time.. I think your fit is really good, annoying how a lot of people on here don't like stacks if they are just a tad bit sloppy. Screw them, they aren't wearing them

Nah, meant that people typically say hem if they dont loke the stacks in the older post. I wasnt saying to hem pr anything just sayin that theyre a little sloppy but look fine. Not really conflicting? Guess I should elaborate more in my posts...
