The Flat Head

Bought some SE05BSPs down at SE in SF while I was there. Kiya and Ginno are super helpful. I'm a 34.5" waist or so, so it was a choice between a 34 or 36. In unwashed state, I could JUST do the button up on the 34s and had about half an inch of play with the 36s. Went with the 36s as I already have a pair of super tight Ksubi Joey Raw Indigos, so I wanted something more fitted I guess you could call it. So I decided to try and get maximum shrinkage in the beginning (But looking at Clous, doesn't seem to affect the fade process with lots of washes, plus I would love a really bleachy beachy light pair of blue jeans anyway), so I may just wash and dry the jeans regularly anyways!

Pre-Soak

Waist = 18

Rise = 11

Thigh = 12

Knee = 9

Ankle = 8.5

Inseam = 41

Post-Soak

Waist = 16.5

Rise = 10.25

Thigh = 11

Knee = 8.5

Ankle = 7.5

Inseam = 38

Note: Soak was done in very hot water for 45 minutes and was hung dry until most of the moisture had gone and then thrown in dryer for 60 minutes on high.

To be honest she was underweight before so although she is going to miss her jeans she looks a lot better for it. As long as she can fit in to the biggest size of the most recent model of geisha she will be happy..

you and i basically have the same body measurements. Unless you bike, I sold my sz29 cause it was a little too tight around the thigh. So the next time if i ever get fh, im moving up to a sz30. or, never hotwash or use the dryer. But if you want his fit, youll definitely get it with your size.

so i did my first wash of my fh bsps about a week ago,

had them since mid dec., 1 hot soak, 1 wash.

bsp sz 29. i'm about 5'6" 135lbs., true waist 29.5.

i went camping with them and the were the filth afterwards so i figured now would as good a time as ever to wash them.

during camping, my arms look abnormally long here, in rl i'm proportioned.

i must've read thru at least 40 pages of 'how to was your jeans' threads and 'what detergent to use' but in the end i just said fuck it, did what i thought would be good. i gave them a soak in the shower to rinse off some of the dirt intially and let them wash.

hung them out to dry, also, i wore them when they were a little damp.

gave my bsps another soak - felt like i didn't get all the shrinking out the first time as i was hesitant it'd be too tight.

second time around gave it a pretty extensive HOT soak and gunna let them dry more thoroughly. these jeans DO stretch so don't be afraid of shrinking them generously.
