  3. Here are a few pics of the 1943 jeans (size 34), received yesterday. As I mentioned to b_F, I feel pretty young and trim for an old dude, but look old and fat -- and, of course, the camera doesn't lie. I also have the jeans hiked up a bit, as I just put them on for the photo. I suspect they'll come in a little with a wash and I hope to come in a little too (i.e., lose a few pounds).

  4. @JohnM I am glad the W34 worked out for you as it did! Really a good and comfy looking fit. On another note, the SugarCane Okinawa is said to be dyed with a small amount of Ryukyu natural indigo (never found out how much, probably jst 1% or so ). Anyway, it might be this indigo from this blog entry: https://amakuma.ryukyu/en/ai-en/

  14. Far from the standard fare, here, but I can never resist a direct old vs. new comparison La Sporta Mythos Eco, old ones have seen around 3 years as training shoes, 2 front resoles (fourth photo), and enough hand stitching on the uppers (second photo) to call it a day

  16. Just received the Longshoreman in wabash from Seiichiro-san. I really like this cut, and I've been looking for nice wabash pants. Right now, it's way too hot to wear long pants in Seattle. Soon though... (Most accurate picture on pic #2.)

  24. Also got my pair recently, planning to do the same as Doc and wait a bit. Probably once it starts to cool off. But I might be tempted to start wearing them sooner.

  25. Guess a new journey begins for me as my FW1942 tux landed a couple of days ago, although mine will remain on ice for now. All l can say about the quality of the workmanship in the products is that they surpass expectations. And the communication, service and extras (including attention to detail) from Hoosier was top notch.

  26. Second installment in the interview series from Nest Clothing, this time interviewing Sushi. Great insight into the history of and inspiration of Freewheelers, their design ideology and what is important to him when creating these clothes.
