here we are on the inside. nice seating, pretty crowded, could be worse but cant complain for the price.

R1003467.jpg

heres what we ordered. xiaolongbaos or steamed dumplings. the reason why they are so good is because of the soup they have when you bite into it. the soup is contained within the meat filling and skin.

R1003468.jpg

here are the flavours in each colour. some are pretty good while others are pretty...wild. mmm. the regular ones are good and the black truffle ones are as well.

R1003469.jpg

accompanied with some noodles

R1003470.jpg

and some pan fried chicken to go along with it

R1003463.jpg

said friend was actually in miami doing at exchange then did a trip round the US and then to Tokyo where he picked up some goros. im not a fan of that but i respect his likes.

R1003461.jpg

he was kind enough when he made the trip to levis tailor shop in SF to pick this up for me as a gift. great book with some nice reproduced graphics/information from the past.

R1003462.jpg

i remember seeing this on the LVC thread. so thats where it was from!

caught green lantern after that. not fantastic but could have been worse. well at least blake lively was pretty damn hot in the movie. couldnt stop staring.

R1003471copy.jpg

a quick fit pic to end the night. sorry for the graininess/bnw shot. it was too dark by the time the movie ended. good night, good times.

If you live in Crawford County, at some point during the summer you spend a Sunday making three stops. First at Eddy's Footlong Hotdogs, then onto Hank's Frozen Custard, and finally to Pymatuning State Park to watch the "ducks walk on the fish". Didn't take any pix at the first two stops, but took some pix and video at the last stop. Pymatuning reservoir has a causeway that runs through part of it, and a spillway connecting the split parts of the reservoir. For years and years there's been a stand there selling day old bread for people to feed the carp, ducks, and geese. It's quite the sight to see.

holy cow, it looks like a huge basin where all the fishes fall into it. i've never ever seen anything quite like it or close to it. how do the fishes get back up? any reason why there are so many of them? can't rep must spread but one of the queerest sights i've seen for sure.

Not sure if the fish are able to jump back up, but we only saw one drop over it while we were there, so they may stick pretty much to their respective sides. In the first photo you can see a little bridge and road on the left... the spillway/basin empties into the western part of the reservoir. And I'm pretty sure that north of there there's a bridge, so they can cross back and forth between the east and west parts of the reservoir. They congregate at the spillway because they know they're going to get fed there, and I'm sure there's an over population of them due to over feeding. I'd imagine a couple thousand people come through there on a nice weekend day and just as many thousands of loaves of bread and hot dog and hamburger buns get tossed in the water to the carp and waterfowl. The state was going to put an end to the feeding at the spillway a few years ago (after decades of the practice), but the local community raised a stink and put an end to that plan.

Here's a picture from Saturday night. My girlfriend and I were having dinner in Erie along Presque Isle Bay. The restaurant we were eating at had outdoor seating, and while we were dinning, the Flagship Niagara started sailing into the Bay. After dinner we went to the end of the pier and I took a couple photos with my cell phone. Wish the panorama setting didn't automatically drop the resolution.

started removing all the broken parts of my car today.

Sorry if this was mentioned in a different thread, but what happened? Fender bender? Vandalism? You just bought that car recently didn't you? Sorry to see you're having to make repairs already.

Train ride back across the Manhattan bridge.

This place Epistrophy is by far one of my favorite wine bars in the city, the prices are great, the guys who run the place are legit, and they have amazing cheese boards, saturday night we got the fruit and cheese board and a bottle of Rose, which was perfect in the almost 90 degree heat.

5858852250_b5537951c2_z.jpg

the cheese and fruit goodnesss....

5858852616_0443cdce26_z.jpg

Sunday morning went down to the high line for a little walk, it was super crowded so it wasn't that much fun, but i always like it down in the meatpacking district. went to a shindig at the Standard a few saturdays ago, and that place is amazing as well I have to admit.

5858853290_c73b290a0f_z.jpg

walked back across the island Sunday to meet up with another friend and head up to midtown and do some shopping, for her.

5858854988_0bb6146f13_z.jpg

I'll end with last night's dinner at Public, I have to admit, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was really blown away with the quality of the meats they served, the Kangaroo was particularly good, as well as the pork loin / belly entree which I got. The duck was also fantastic. wine pairings were very well chosen by our server, it was one of the best meals i've had in town.

Hopefully everyone enjoyed my massive iPhone update, it has been fun having it around since I rarely take my 5D at the moment with how busy i've been, not wanting to lug it around until the late hours of the evening and such.

Even though I lived in Hawaii for 19 years, I was astonished to find out that there was a beautiful beach in the back of the Hilton Hotel.

x post from cone x roy thread. . .

Yesterday was my 2nd wedding anniversary. Here are some shots from our dinner

269045_10150302004861617_510166616_9292078_5229060_n.jpg

I can't smile for shit.

268014_10150302004801617_510166616_9292077_7831225_n.jpg

I had a 'vietnamese crepe'. I'd never encountered anything like it. It was a turmeric seasoned crepe w/ chicken and sprouts. Delicious!

260414_10150302004781617_510166616_9292076_3524296_n.jpg

My lady had tofu stir fry of some sort. We went shopping earlier in the day and she found that dress. We think it was a bridesmaids dress or something, the details and print are pretty over the top. I dig it though.

We had Banana Won-tons and gelato for desert, but I devoured that shit before the wife could snap a picture.
