Two nice indigo pieces this season - indigo dyed oxford shirt (hopefully not too worked over) and indigo dyed pants (pg 78). Wish they'd do more of it.

do people actually own these indigo pieces? This past season they had these thin sweaters and I was too suspicious about the color bleeding so I held off. By the time I finally wanted to get them, they were sold out. How much do these items bleed?

If you look at page 139, you'll see my comparison of 3 pairs of jeans and 3 indigo t-shirts over about a 5 year period and how they have faded with time. Depends on how you wash - inside out, hot water, cold water, dryer or hang dry. Right side out, hot wash, dryer, more fade. Inside out, cold water, gentle cycle, hang dry, less fade. But with time you lose indigo, just like jeans.

I've had these Sorahiko's since 2006 .. overall about 3 years of wear, numerous washes. I'm not really tough on my jeans so with the exception of ripped pockets, there's been no other patchwork.

1. get google chrome (for translation purposes)

2. go to www.45rpm.jp

3. click japanese, then click on store

4. find what you want and order through proxy

5. love yourself for saving lots of dough

Thanks lance. Been also wearing a pair of tweed pants dyed with indigo. I'll post some pics of those when I get a chance, they are looking pretty cool as well as the blue is just starting to show in certain spots. I also just purchased off another member here a pair of the natural indigo dyed suvin cotton jeans that were sold when the ues 45rpm store opened. It'll take forever to get them to show any type of fading but I'm excited to start.

You're welcome. I too have a pair of UMII 908 Ai dyed Suvin cotton jeans from the UES store. It was their take on Wrangler style jeans with the round, pointed back pockets and no selvage inside the coin pocket. They will eventually show great vertical falling!

Off and on since 06 - they are Ai dyed to the core so as you suggest, fades are a bit of a bitch - I put more wear into my Jomons

And that box thing on ebay is a cool idea. I'd have bid on it but 4 is too small. Hope to find out what was in it - crazy!
