I should have nutted up and taken the classes that my first choice grad school wanted me to take.

I should have dumped the long distance girlfriend I had at the beginning of undergrad, I would have had a great fucking time instead of sitting on the phone.

Lessons learned: put your happiness first and don't be a lazy fuck.

Je regrette,

  • Becoming best friend instead of boyfriend to the most amazing girl I've ever met
  • Not doing schoolwork just to spite teachers who think that useless work is useful to me (i.e. taking notes from the text when the lecture given in class was basically a word-for-word copy of the text anyway)
  • Not paying attention in French
  • Not sizing down to a 28 for my KMWs
  • Not getting a job over summer
  • Telling myself that I wouldn't ever smoke anything...

ahah, good thread here.

I have a lot of regrets, but most of them made me the person I am today, and I don't care if it made me a worse or better person.

I would have stayed in highschool.

I would have started thinking about eating well and living healthy sooner.

Never would have stopped playing the violin.

I would have tried harder not to hurt people.

i would say that i wish i would have done better in school, but it gave me some of the best times later on.

i regret not going to college.

i regret saying "yes" and ever getting married.

and i regret chickening out on him that day...i replay that moment over and over in my mind.

for truth. bitchassness, that isn't even a legit regret.

3. probably shouldn't have been so self-destructive b/w 13-18 yrs old..

^this would have helped me A LOT.

I also shouldn't have wasted all that money on sevens, tr, and r&r. Fuck

Should have done better in HS so I could have gotten my college paid for.

umm... I'm sure I'll think of more.

edit: should have moved away and started fresh right out of college instead of staying here

Regret picking up smoking.

If I didn't pick up smoking, I wouldn't have enjoyed drinking so much.

If I didn't enjoy drinking so much, I wouldn't party so hard.

If I didn't party so hard and get drunk so much, I wouldn't have done that case of criminal damage which is going to cost me roughly 9grand USD all up.

If I didn't party so hard and get drunk so much and then been so hungover the next day, I wouldn't have lost my job which was going to help me pay for the damn court fees.

And all this before I hit the age of 21.

And I regret not studying harder throughout my life.

Strangely enough, I don't particularly regret anything when it comes to women. I think I played it to the best of my ability, and I can't look back with regret to anyone of them.

ATTN: all the high schoolers! Reading this thread should teach you that you should lower your standards in HS and bone many women. As you can see, it seems to be a common regret among us older folk, including me.

-going home every weekend in college to hang out with old friends instead of staying and making new ones

-choosing "N" over "J"...just because J's taste in music was too extreme. N ended up becoming a lesbo

-getting with J eventually and breaking up with her over a few fights. Should have worked it out...she was amazing.

-getting into theatre/improv earlier

-choosing KMW 1980's over the Rockers when they were on sale

-(highschool) going to the prom with the girl who everyone told me to go for (who ended up getting with another dude) instead of the girl who I really dug

-not buying Visvims when they retailed for $168-$188
