Just got a Makr flap wallet. Mine is a chocolate brown / tobacco finish in cordovan. E-mailed Jason, about it, asked about cordovan leather. Sent the payment Thursday, and I got it today.

Here's a pic of the box:

Inside (note the Horween stamp):

It looks so good. I know it'll look even better after a couple of weeks of use

This is the wallet that I'm replacing.

Wallet twins with Tahonng!

This is their flap wallet made custom with Shell Cordovan from Horween.

I've had it for just a few weeks and I love it so far. I'm also very optimistic about how this thing will age. I've already gotten hooked on Shell shoes and boots, so it makes sense to me to have a wallet (and eventually a belt) made with this amazing material.

Those who don't know why Shell Cordovan is so special should take a look at this video: http://www.vimeo.com/4814754

Big shouts to Jason at Makr! He was a joy to deal with... always prompt and friendly and the product is top notch. I definitely recommend them. Good price too (for what it is) at $160

Shouts to Tahonng too for helping me find this thread. Here are some more pictures...

Love those Makr wallets...

Carried this American American wallet for about 3.5 years. Started out white kinda like this:

I initially put stickers and tape on it for kicks, so after the first few months it turned into:

Finally retired it looking like:

(The monkey stamp was the result of drinking on the job while working the door at Triple Rock microbrewery on a Monkeyhead Arboreal Ale Thursday night).

Finally grew up a teency bit and replaced it with a little bit of unlucky x Barker Black:

No tanning, oils, creams or pampering... just 2 months of ass-sweat-through-indigo and hand-oil:

Love it! Many thanks to unlucky

made of material similar to the kind used on usps envelopes:

feels like paper, but is tear-resistant and water-resistant

had this for a couple years I think.. and it's still holding up fine

no rips or anything.. only damage is the cigarette burn which I put there on purpose to prove to my friend it wouldn't catch on fire

looked like this new:

now it's like this:
