.

I bought the same boots from the first link last year, and was completely unhappy with them. they were chunky and steel toe which was not in the description at the time. sent them back as punishment for breaking my little heart.

.

you guys should really check out canadian parade boots. the soles on mine are starting to come apart, but this is after something like over three years of abuse. made in canada, imo the best option possible for the price (~$100)

While in NY over Winter I needed some cheap shoes to beat up / walk in the rain and snow and shit. I was only there for 5 days so I picked these up, been pretty happy with them....

They were new at some thrift-like shop that sold sample stuff.

Pretty happy with them considering I spent $50...

Would of been nice if the cap was more pointed rather then rounded, but they were cheap enough.

Grenson fred would work, tho it's not the same sole. You can get it at pediwear but see the pic at the link below

or you could contact alden of carmel or leathersoul hawaii and see if the they could make up one of these with a natural welt.

Anyone know of boots that look similar to this? Black lace up wingtip/brogue style boot, similar sole. I've been looking for a while and haven't had any luck.

check these out, they don't have black on-line but in-store they have them. Distressed black buffed leather, nice for 240ish

On the black lace up wingtip/brogue style boot tip, you can always give tricker's a go. Most come with black soles, but you could prob swap the soles out. Try here https://www.shoehealer.co.uk/Tricker_s/Country_Collection/Modified_Trickers_Stow_2041.html

Or you can go with a custom order direct from Tricker's, the superdenim Shoes that better with age guys will sort you out.

A pair that can be worn with denim and pants (chinos and of that sort). Black on black, no brown soles. Rounder toe than pointed--similar to DBs, and no suede so I can wear it in the rain too.

Any brands that you guys recommend to look into? Alden are very nice but it is quite expensive and I'm afraid of doing the shoe a disservice as I cannot imagine it fitting in my wardrobe currently.

These are 2 pairs I saw on the forum I think, quite fancy the look:

Was wondering if anyone could give any suggestions.

Im looking for a leather boot similiar to the Visvim Folk Virgils, but with a harder sole. The soles on the Visvims I feel will wear down with the way I walk. My redwings and Timberland boots in the past always wear down heavily on the outsides of my heel.

The ones posted by bryanayrb are a good start. Im just looking for something in leather, not suede.
