Benny, check out Chippewa and carolina boot co. Also, eBay is an awesome place to find things for less than retail.

I will say I have both RWs and Chippewa. Both are well worth the price.

Clarks are sorta cheap and will get you through the day.

I like the way redwings and clarks look, and they're pretty comfortable, but if i can't ride a skateboard while wearing them then they're probably going to spend a lot of time in the closet.

you might also check out LL Bean's line-up....cheaper alternative to redwing and such, and the quality is pretty good from what i hear. Also look at their "Signature" line
