boots exist though and they are way better. clunky non boots remind me of the Simpsons where bart becomes nerdy with the throat spray and the glasses etc.

The shape and design doesn't seem too bad to me, but the color is reminiscent of those tan/skin colored leather velcro shoes old men wear.

I saw these at Re-soul and was way bummed because I couldn't afford them. A few months later I noticed they were marked waaaay down, then noticed that my size was the only size left. That stuff never happens!
