sort of. rebate w/ the dishwasher + laundry ($300) for one, and the guts of all the american brands are the same, anyway. this is pretty much the deal with any appliance (amana makes the guts of nearly every fridge, regardless of brand, etc.), and the differences are almost entirely in cosmetics.
