Bunga, you seem to produce some of the best honeycombs! Really nice job on all the jeans you've posted so far. I hope to see more from you.

How much actual wear on those Japan lvc's? I can't imagine a pair of jeans lasting anyone 9 years. Maybe that's just because I'm a.d.d when it comes to devoting time to clothes.

thanks grouse, appreciate your kind words -there's around 4-5 years of actual hard wear, around 3-4 times a week for the first 2 years then maybe once or twice for the remaining 2 year but i haven't been able to fit into them for the last 4 years? haha, blame middle age creeping up on me.

it seems that certain batches of the 502s fades much better with a dirty yellow tinge much like vintage levi's that i always love (but can't afford).

haven't bought any new denim for quite awhile now except for a pair of Studio D'Artisan 103s and Pure Blue Japan XX-003 which i hope to break into real soon!

scaught - good job on the pbjs, i've seen lots of really great ones on the forum, that's what sold me into getting a pair.

Just washed my PBJ005s for the first time at 4.5 months. Sorry for the shitty pictures.

Also, sorry for the really bad lighting, the whiskers have much better contrast in person.

this makes me want to get a pair of these again

Sugarcane Lot M41400, zipper fly, 14 oz raw denim

Been wearing them on and off for the past 2 years but never really got into them as they're a tad too big for me (friend bought the wrong size).

1 hot soak for shrinkage and 2 cold washes after that. Doubt this pair will have much honeycombs as they're not snug enough but the material is quite nice and i'm trying to put off washing them as long as i can but it's beginning to stink to high heaven. (you know you're in trouble when insects, bees etc are attracted to your smelly denim!)

will probably give them a cold wash this weekend and post after wash pics. all pics taken indoors without any flash or photoshop touch-ups.

x-post from sammie thread...

0500xx sz 34

I've had them about a year now and worn maybe 7 or 8 solid months. I just had a major yard day in them so I gave them a wash last night. 4th wash I think.

Wore them today and then took some pictures when I got home ...

those look in-cre-di-ble. really good. nylon might as well become the next flat head/samurai hypejeans after your posts. ;)

by the way, is it me or do jeans with reversed-honeycombs (on the outer leg)/hella long whiskers suddenly pop up everywhere? thaisons eternals, a pair of yofukutens from the blog, now these...

Evisu Lot 2001, coming up to a year of wear, some sweet vintage fades now...

Had the gulls repainted recently, but the paint didn't bond to the old gulls and washed straight off... the patch has held up well though:

Contrast pic with Lot 2000 (a slimmer cut) behind the 2001s, to show the similarities and differences in the fades:
