My first pair.. Its the el-cheapo STF from JCPenney/Sears.. $30

4 months, cold machine wash with woolite dark

7 months, same plus 1/2 listerine capful of bleach (i had nothing to loose, and yes, i threw the cap out)

8 months, im getting bored with them already

any comments welcome, and any tips would be greatly appreciated..

i think they're looking very good. i like the little zippo atari in the fifth pocket. your wallet is in a nice size that's giving your back pocket a manly fade. your honeycombs and whiskers look natural and well-worn. i think you can keep wearing these and see how far you can go. but you're also qualified to move on to a more premium denim with deeper indigo dyes, so that you can get more contrast in your wear.

cosign with the clucky one...

i'd add that your choice in magazines needs more help than your choice in denim, though...

snugglepony — have you posted pics of your somets yet? Just curious how they're looking. Did I even get the person right?

hi ang -- several people were asking awhile ago, so i did post some photos in the somet thread... since i rotate through about six pairs of jeans (and the somets are wearing like iron) there's not much wear to speak of, especially that you can see in photos.

as soon as there's some real progress, i'll certainly post!

First time posting in the Evo thread - and I think the first IA's in the thread as well:

102 wears at the time the pics were taken, taken right after a first hot soak

The color's a little bit darker than in these pics. But you can see how much they've lightened up compared to the darkness of the lower-legs!

Now we'll see what the Brasilian sun (& sweat) does to these. That is, if the sun EVER comes out in Rio again.... (middle of the summer here and it's about 21 or 22 celsius and raining off and on every day).

Hate to quote myself and beg at the same time... but any comments?

um...you prolly shouldnt beg for comments. they look nice although im not a fan of IR's stitching....

Well I appreciate the compliment surrounded by criticism anyway :)

And the "stitched wrong" stitching is on it's way out (it's starting to pull out in a few places... I'm enjoying it)

And may I jump on the bandwagon: those grifters are incredible...

I can't wait to see how Wintermute's V3's look when I see him again in 6 months!

well thats all the pics. Sorry I kinda went off. Im pretty happy with the results. I lost very little indigo which is great as they are still very dark. They shrank back to a perfect fit and hopefuly i can get a couple more months of sparatic wear in em before the next wash.

peace

Nice LVCs (even if Levi's are dbags), Iron Army, and AWs in recent posts.

I washed my PBJs, but have no camera right now. No drastic changes, just a little softer and a lot cleaner. I was afraid that even though mine were purchased in One Wash, there would be some shifting or extra shrinking after I washed them. Luckily, this didn't happen and all of the creases are still in the same place.
