^Just like the way everyone rooted for the Warriors last year. No one really hated the Mavs.

That said, one thing I do hate about the Celtics is how they became a contender. Not through astutely picking players, not through shrewd trades, but (1) because Danny Ainge is buddies with Kevin McHale and (2) because a lot of veterans just jumped onto the team in the hopes of winning a ring. Absurd.

damn D'Antoni and Avery fired

Seriously who's fault is it to bring a over the hill half court center into full court run n gun offense?

Who's fault is it to bring in a full court fast break offense pg into a halfcourt iso offense?

that's the thing about the NBA...someone's always gotta take the fall.

The Harris for Kidd trade was fucking weak and the Matrix for Diesel trade was even worse.

On paper, Marrion poses crazy matchup problems for almost any team, whereas the Big Cactus (while menacing at times on the low box) is starting to look every one of his 37 years.

Go ATL...and fuck Pierce for trying to act like he wasn't trying to throw blood signs - at least own up to it, nigga

D'Antoni would almost perfect in Toronto, I think. Colangelo would give him free rein to do whatever he needs to--after all, Colangeo was the one who brought D'Antoni to Phoenix. Bosh would blossom even further under D'Antoni, I think, and Bargnani would start becoming more Dirk and less Kwame. And Caulderon--isn't he basically a Nash in waiting?

As a Texas alum, it makes me sad to see T. J. Ford behave like a little bitch. But you have to call a cat a cat, and as nice as it is to have two high-quality point guards on your team, this would be a case of addition by subtraction. The locker-room poison that Ford brings is too much.

I would love to see D'Antoni in Toronto.

I've mentioned it in my prayers the last two nights- so that he'll come to Toronto. Sam Mitchell is totally going to leave and end up with Knicks.

Word on the street is we are trading TJ and Mitchell claims he'll leave if that happens. Good riddence.

I dont want Mitchell coaching the Knicks unless he's the type of coach players to their strengths.

Sign me up for Tom Thibodeau or Avery w/ a offense specialist as an assistant

looks like the Sixers are done..down 30 in the 4th. i think it was good for the philly youngsters to get a taste of the playoffs. from watching them this postseason, they look pretty scary. so much youth and athleticism paired with a smart PG.

congrats to the sixers for a not completely horrible season (even though Iguodala looked like shit in the playoffs). i would have been happy even if they just took one from detroit. now its time to open that checkbook and get a big time outside shooting threat.

Sometimes the Haitian Sensation looks positively like an animal. Eats a lot of glass.

Think Iguodala is best suited to being a second option. The Sixers had an outside scoring threat--Kyle Korver. But maybe you mean someone like Kobe, LeBron, Durant, or even Rashard Lewis or Turkoglu. A lot of teams need that kind of player, but they are few and far between. Still, this Sixers teams looks pretty promising.

Atlanta is so inspiring, especially after watching a full season of horrible Mavericks games that were never fun to watch, even when they were winning.

I'm also really excited at the prospect of a Hornets-Lakers series, provided New Orleans can knock off San Antonio.
