I just have two of the same Gap versions of this. One was actually raw, but I had it so long ago, (8-9 years ago) that I had no clue what would have happened if I let it be instead of washing it like crazy.

I still maintain that denim on denim is tough, but when done right, it is like hitting a drive right in the sweet spot.

Here is a cross posted pic of my "distressed" one (did I hit the sweet spot?):

Amazing collection Cole.:)

Hi all the type III jacket experts, i'm about to get a LVC 1967 type III jacket, here are a few questions i have.:o

What's the difference between made in Turkey(on Cultizm) or USA in term of quailty?

Is made in the Valencia St. factory something special?

Should i size up account for shrinkage?

I have seen millions of 70505-0217 jackets priced from $150 to as high as $300, i'm very confused... i just wondering which one should i get, here are some examples, thanks for the help, will rep.:)

DON't size up, Yin. Type 3 is Sanforized.

turkish jackets can be great. They're a more grey colour than the originals, but of course wiht a jacket you don't need to wash too often and can get pretty good fades. THis is the g/f's

HEre's my main jacket. A bit muddy. I think I have two more Big E type 2s.

I've had a quick look at your list. There's no real difference between the various jackets. Some people spend more time on their eBay spiel, and try it on, often repeatedly listing the same item. The 555 jacekts are made in the old Levi's factory in SF but the fabric is the same.$300 is a ridiculous price. You should be able to get an original, rather than the reissue, for that money. My Big E, above, was unwashed and cost around $160 and that's the most I've ever paid. With the 501, originals are rare and it's hard to find them in the right size, and in a condition other than washed out. THat doesn't apply with the jackets, which are always reasonably priced compared with pants. I certainly would pay $160 for the convenience of a LVC reissue, but above that price it's hard to see the point.
