But yes, it's true it's gambling to buy stuff on ebay, and weird to ask about the size afterwards. I think I have built up some frustration with some forum members who like to show off how much money they have, but I don't think you are a Russian oligarch or anything like that:) Sorry, I will behave from now on.

Just picked this up. It reminds me of the s614. The fit is not as narrow or as short rise as i though it would be.

Actually it fits better than the old 906. I haven't soaked yet, so it is a bit roomy.

Fits good… there's no hip flare, the rise is medium, not low and the leg is narrow but not tapered. I think of it as a slightly more narrowed leg '47 fit. I'll post a fit ice after I soak or wash.

I'm not sure how you like to rock them. I'm the kind of person who like their jeans a little looser.

I guess you could go with the same size. I just remember the old 906 having a gigantic waist and little itty bitty thighs.

yeah quite tight on the thgihs i like em a bit loose thoug i like my jeans like tube but not as baggy as a 47 cut should i consider this pair?

Not as baggy as a 47 due to the mid rise. Might not fit into your biker steez, but its different, at least for me. I don't normally get such a narrow fit. The denim is gorgeous and heavy.

could u post fit pics, i tried them on in Japan and they fit really slim and the rise felt really low.

Indeed^ im eager to see fit pics too. I have seen the 991XH described as a slim cut and the same silhouette as the original 991 with a hard taper and low rise, on the other hand i have seen the .003 are described as a tight-fit?

I believe in the bigger sizes that isn't much of a problem. Since I rock a size 36, the measurements are similar to a lot of my other jeans (like a Warehouse 660) give or take a half inch and with a slightly smaller leg opening.

No problem, I'll do so when I get a chance.

Here are the measurements after a hot soak for an hour. i only used hot tap water. I'm sure by sticking it in the dryer will get smaller results. I only throw them in the machine after about 3 months of wear.

Measured taunt.

991XH tagged size 36

After Soak

Waist: 47 cm

Front Rise: 29 cm

Back Rise 36 cm

Upper Thigh: 32 cm

Knee: 23 cm

Leg Opening: 22 cm

Hemmed Inseam: 81 cm

Did you take a waist/inseam pre-soak?

Did you take an inseam post soak prior to hemming, I assume you have had them hemmed to 32"?

Yep, the pre-soak waist was 38.5" and the pre-soak pre-hem inseam was a little less than 37".

Going on coles sizing and my penchant for amature mathamatics i have worked out the shrinkage factor for the 991XH

Here goes it...38.5" waist divide by contraction factor of "1.0404255" gives you 47cm across the waistband.

I am confident that all denim is an "exact science " so this factor can be applied to all 991XH sizes

Eg) Size 34" big size chart 37.5" waist or 953mm divide by 2 = 476.5mm divide by the factor 1.0404255 gives a post shrink waist of 18" across the waistband.

Post shrink 32"= 427.7mm across waistband.

And so on.

Its a tad more narrow than I would usually wear, but still fits great. Definitely not low rise. I would categorize the fit as slim straight, mid-rise.
